Wirtz arrives at LFC training complex

Rumour has it that part of what convinced him that he wanted to play for us, was the training facilities and professionalism of the staff at AXA training complex, when Leverkusen trained there last November in preparation for our the Champions league match against us.

It's stuff like that that goes a long way in convincing potential future targets that you would be playing for a professionally and well run club.

I have to say, as a Liverpool fan it feels great to hear a player considered to be a generational talent say that he felt that Liverpool FC was the best place he saw his future being best handled.

It just shows that the pereption around our club is such that players see us as competing for stuff and being a top club for years - even when measured against the money-laden likes of Bayern Munich, or the City's and PSG's of the world.

If we can finalize the Kerkez deal and fully resolve the fullback positions with Frimpong done, while also drawing a line under the CB cover and the Center forward replacement/upgrade,.....

Gosh, it should be a darn exciting season coming ahead.

Didn't Jaros also sign a long term contract before his loan to Ajax? I'm glad in a way..He looked a very promising keeper. Just say Mamardashvili doesn't work out.. You can always recall Jaros hoping his time playing for another top club will have worked well in our favour..
