Former Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has joined Liverpool as assistant coach to Arne Slot.

Van Bronckhorst, who played for Arsenal and Barcelona during a distinguished career, won titles as a coach in the Netherlands with Feyenoord and Scotland with Rangers.

His most recent role was as coach of Turkish team Besiktas.

Slot has made changes to his backroom staff after winning the Premier League title in his first season in charge at Anfield.

As well as Van Bronckhorst, Liverpool also confirmed the arrival of Xavi Valero for his second spell at the club. He will take over the role of head of first team goalkeeper coaching.

Goalkeeper coaches Fabian Otte and Claudio Taffarel will leave the club.

I've listened to a number of journalists who watch the Bundesliga and most of them have voiced their concerns over Etikite, especially when it comes to his finishing. I actually listened to one such journalist this morning.

Should anyone take any notice of things such as expected goals, Etikite only scored 15 goals last season when his XG was 23. We don't want to replace one wasteful striker with another.

If we do take the napoli offer for nunez then the move for his replacement must surely be imminent, maybe there's a target that we've kept below the radar OR arne thinks he develop one of these sesko/etitike types in a way that couldn't be done with nunez by him or jurgen.
