    Aaaargh!!
Liverpool break 4 v 2 and young Will Wright has the chance but he hits the keeper with his effort.

Another excellent workout for the squad.

An impressive 4.27 XG but as ever we need to be more clinical. Should have had 5 in the second game with the clear chances we created. Some of our attacking play was incredible.

We really miss Virgil as anyone would but I do hope Guehi joins us after Sunday (as I don’t see them letting him go before). And I still think we’re one short at 6.

Szoboszlai has been the best midfielder in pre season, he needs to be starting.

Jones on the other hand seems to be regressing.

One stat I’ll finish with, we had 9 big chances to 1 but only won by a single goal.
Just put it in the net ffs.

Every player in a Liverpool shirt tonight is quick, with an excellent touch and passing ability and they are all good footballers with excellent movement and vision.
Some of our football was fantastic and it’s surely only going to improve as they play and train more together

Curtis Jones isn't good enough or consistent enough. He'll have the odd good but not great game here and there followed by a number of subpar performances.

We definitely need to get in at least one good quality CB between now and when our league campaign gets underway. If Konate doesn't sign a new contract we'll need to sign multiple quality CBs.

Absolutely. Sign him and we'll score a ton of goals, we already scored plenty last season but we could have had so many more with more clinical finishing.
Isak would be the cherry on top of that attack.

I hope Isak watched that second game tonight, he’ll score an absolute hatful playing in that forward line.
