Contrary to popular belief, we were never 'bankrolled' by the Moores family. The club was given an initial loan by the Moores to buy a couple of players, but other than that loan no money used for transfers was ever pumped into the club. In fact one of the reasons David Moores decided to sell the club is that the likes of Man Utd were starting to spend huge amounts of money and the Moores family were unwilling and possiby unable to stump up the sums money needed to compete with the likes of Man Utd.
