Pretty sure most would have thought the same.
It’s a stubbornness that seems to run through most managers, changing things might make it look like they got wrong in the first place or God forbid they hurt a player’s feelings by leaving him out when the game requires a change of tactics.
It'll be interesting to see what Arsenal's attempt at exploiting our weaknesses and avoiding our strengths will be tomorrow.
You'd imagine the set-piece coach sets them up to target a specific spot. If Van Dijk is marking relatively centrally when we defend zonally (13 clearances v Arsenal) then will they target a specific spot like the edge of the box? Or load the back-post with 4 or 5 players and have a blocker near Virg and Alisson?
Tall side, strong side. How we cope with it is a bit of a concerns so our positioning will be interesting.
