So far - our ‘wonder window’ where we have supposedly seen F$G finally see the light…. sees us sitting between Sunderland and Leeds on net spend - ranked 7th - Hugely impressive following Slots mega first summer splash out of a whopping £5 million.

The only hope I have is fading fast. If we miss out on a CB and a Striker - then it’s a crying shame. At this time we look weaker than we did this time last season. And despite winning the title imo we were the 3rd best squad then.

Chelsea are in talks with Sporting for striker Conrad Harder. Why ???? just why? doesn't make sense

Anyway hope we sign a attacker even if it's not isak if we go into rest of season like we are, we're fucked

I'll be fuming if we've been to obsessed with isak

I believe our Net spend to date is £110 million. Which is nothing…

Net spend isn't a bad metric but it doesn't tell the whole story.

It says nothing about Youth Academy investment, first-team wages, amortisation of fees and so on.

We do utilise resources pretty efficiently overall and it's no secret that I think that's a good thing. Not to mention that selling well (which lowers net spend) is oddly seen as a bad thing by some fans, almost as if they want us spending £200m on top talents and not recouping anything.

Keeping the bigger spends for the "right" player (the likes of Van Dijk, or hopefully Wirtz, who I have high hopes for) and not wasting money on 3rd/4th choices that can impact the future is a good thing, no?

Not to mention that a low net spend doesn't say much about the investments in infrastructure that can improve a club, or getting top staff in, such as those can improve Academy players (or youth buys) and potentially prevent inefficient spending, such as if Ngumoha works out - or a Harvey Elliott etc.

Anywho - it'll be interesting to see where we are at 7pm tomorrow and intriguing to see what we do or don't do in January depending on what happens at the end of this window - "there's still everything to play for and forever to play it in!" and all that jazz.

Don't forget we also lost Diaz, who's tearing it up in the Bundesligue.
