There were a few people (yourself included) in here that had made comments around Neuro-divergent tendencies and conditions on here throughout the years - Autism, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Asperger's etc that I thought were at best immature and at worst, malicious.

Nineteenx typically bore the massive brunt of this - much more than I did - and more patiently than I think I did or would have done. That said, I occasionally caught some flack as well around Obsessive Compulsive symptoms that I discussed very openly and for a prolonged period on here (I am Autistic and have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which isn't a barrel-load of craic, though the latter is under infinitely much more control these days) which, for a time, slowly manifested themselves in a tick whereby I felt the need to time my "your team against" threads to be paired with the ref's full-time whistle.

This was honestly rather exhausting, as I found it interrupting stuff I really valued doing - I could be out on a hike in an area with no reception and I'd have to find reception and try to get text-based info updates and try and pair the thread upload with the whistle. If it sounds ridiculous, it is - OCD is fucking infuriatingly illogical and doesn't allow much in the way of flexibility, something that Red Noodle articulated really, really well. It's hard to describe to a Neurotypical person, but not having a need met (I used to have to open and close the curtains 30 times each morning) basically feels like having an itch you can't scratch within your blood, so you want to rip off your own skin to scratch the itch - combined with nausea, combined with a choking feeling. Thankfully, besides checking that the bathroom door is locked a bunch of times, I'm pretty "clean" these days.

On the television it's always portrayed as just a reshuffle of neat-and-tidy on the desk etc whereas it can actually be quite debilitating.

Anyway, to try and explain and/or give context - once one has a process of doing something a set way, an interruption to the schedule can really knock someone off-kilter, something I explained in a......2021 (?) thread about someone (CCTV?) making one of the "your team against" threads. To be clear, it didn't matter that it was me making them - it's a change of system. So with miller making match threads, this is the accepted "normal" - if justincredible suddenly did one next week I would freak out - or should I say, a less healed version of me would freak out - because the system was changed. It's not that I have to be the one do whatever I'm doing. Same as when they changed all the local buses to a different colour where I am - it's just disconcerting as all fuck. Bear in mind this is a healthy me explaining how a sick me feels - as I'm sure someone will take it as a complaint/whinge/get-over-yourself. Unfortunately I can't convey tone easily via the typed word - again, probably down to my Neurodivergence. Is what it is.

Anyway - people (mainly you) started to complain about this - "can't you just wait?" or whatever. But you personally turned the dial a little bit. You would always have some complaint that I typed too quickly, or that I should "watch the game" (the threads would take me about 12 seconds to make, usually made during a Trent throw-in, copy+paste at full-time whistle, explained this many times) and this became weekly, then basically every thread. Then it became comments like "you complete selfish pig" if I made a thread and you had made one a minute later. Then it became that you would make a thread of your own - "sorry Sid, I beat you to it" (even though your own complaints were that I wasn't watching the game?) as if there was a race - and so on. When called out upon it, one of your (many) comments was "sorry, I can't help myself, I have OCD, lol".

What was particularly weird about it (for me) was the sheer amount of time you did it for. I'd say a rough time-scale of me doing those threads and the comments looks roughly like this -

17/18 - roughly when I started doing them regularly, though not every match.
18/19 - continued to do so
19/20 - I was doing it, jokes were made about not jinxing it, so I kept it up.
20/21 - some jokes are made that I had "lost my touch"
    21/22 - still doing it
    22/23 - still doing it
    23/24 - still doing it
24/25 - you did them, for a whole season, little-to-no trolling from my side, that I recall.
    25/26 - you've continued to do them

Now I would say for most of the period between 19/20 and 22/23 there were little digs - and some explicitly regarding mental health. I laughed at it - but as time went on, I'm unsure of whether or not I should have done. To a point where a friend (and briefly former-forum user, went by "Batman" - probably less than 30 posts) said I should find out how often you'd either made an alternate thread in the imagined race in your mind, or commented negatively on mine - and within the November 2020 to February 2021 period I had found 9 or 10.

Which are of course dead and unopenable now, but here they are -

    - not that they are the sum total over what was a four-year period, but I didn't want to waste my time (at the time he suggested it, which is about 3 years ago) finding more. Strangely (and this is true of last season when you made them "your" threads) when someone else did one, you didn't bat an eyelid. It was purely an Insidious-only issue. I guess that felt somewhat targeted at the time, especially given references to mental health and specifically OCD and Neurodivergence.

It doesn't "matter" really - they don't effect my everyday life and I found it quite funny at the time, however I do know a wealth of people who would feel cut to shreds over lesser comments due to hypersensitive neural pathways - and this represents a free opportunity for a little bit of education, even if some will find it an eye-roller.

Mental Health issues are exhausting and none of the "we" want to feel like this and certainly not for attention on an internet forum full of strangers. So with that principle in mind - voila. I have replied.

Anyway, as I said, I'm glad you've changed. It shows growth. I mean that sincerely, though I know I'll be accused of being facetious or petty or whatever. You asked for an explanation. I have, as ever, over-articulated in my response as a quick typer. Is what it is.
Why you bothered so much ?

It's a online forum, if you're that offended by silly comments, don't use the internet for your own good

all you're doing is making it effect your own head, which is clear in this post, bit extreme Sid.

    Chill out, take a breather

Totally uncalled for and unjustified and out the blue as he's not posted anything to cause any offense and you reply with that?, there's forum users no names mentioned ** on here that have basically told me to kill myself, you think what justme has said is anything near as bad???

You don't do your head any good- by going over stuff like you have, that's just insane and not healthy for you, take a walk next time of going through all the effort and going over things and comments, take a walk clear your head, because this post isn't tha answer

I've had my arguements and bitch fights with justme at times but it's kinda funny and we don't keep quoting or holding grudges and making 9000 letter posts calling each other out months later because it really isn't that important and doesn't really effect my head whatsoever...... it shouldn't be with you, you make out its kinda funny in your post?? sure when you're THAT bothered to go through all old messages somehow (I don't know how when search function and everything is fucked) to post?

    You're not being clever

    Ridiculous.

I have a few minutes, so I'll respond to the best of my ability here. I suspect it will make sweet FA's difference to your thinking or anyone else's, but I always attempt to make a stab at these things when I can.

I'm not offended per se, though through years of integrating with all-sorts, I understand why you would see it that way. Most of the things that justme has said I found laughable (revisit this later) though I did find the OCD comment a bit "odd" that time - but seeing as he has "never" made such a comment...... Anyway....

You conflate revisiting a subject or typing about it extensively with emotion and/or outburst. That's seemingly pretty normal. I try not to lump people into the two categories of Neurotypical v Neurodivergent as it is much too binary, but every time I see a Neurodivergent person type for an extensive period, the thought from the Neurotypicals is almost always that it is a "rant". Unfortunately I don't have a point of reference to compare or relate, as I don't have a Neurotypical Brain. It's a bit like how (shower thoughts) one might wonder how the English language sounds like to a non-native speaker - a native speaker won't ever really understand, or be able to convey it to another, so I don't expect you to.

If you have a genuine interest in learning about or are open-minded enough to try and see through a Neurodivergent lens, I would highly recommend faffing about a bit with the results that will come up as a result of Googling "info-dumping" - don't go out of your way obviously, it's your life, you'll have commitments and busy time. But if you have a cup of tea window, look it up.

If someone asks me a question and I am formulating a response, then the conversation is, briefly, all that exists. As soon as I hit send, next thing. If you and I were on a woodland walk for example, you could be talking about a relative with a terminal illness and I would be deeply invested and sympathetic, yet if a Treecreeper pops by and onto a nearby pine, I'll probably go "dude, Treecreeper!!!!!" and info-dump about birds for the next 10 minutes, completely forgetting that we were having a sensitive conversation. It's called hyper-focus. Autistic trait. Can't be helped. Once I am onto the next thing, I am onto the next thing. Same way as soon as I finish this post and notice something (crooked frame, open window, bird) then this post won't exist in my mind, until I am next in the thread. It wouldn't mean I didn't care about your situation or your family member, it's just that my mind works in a different way to what is.....I'll say "typical" rather than "normal".

Again, we'd disagree here. I'm very chilled - the post the other day was info-dumping. As/when I am angry, I'll tell people. You'd probably need to speak to me in the flesh to see how info-dumping works. With that in mind, this post is important to me for the minutes in which I am typing it, then *snip* next thing. This morning the most important thing was speaking about hybridisation in Gulls in a WhatsApp group - that was all that existed until I hit send - and so on and so forth. I'll revisit old subjects because there is a trigger (not in the septum-piercing, blue-hair sense of the word) that reminds the Brain, or a question is asked - "what do you mean by that?" as an example, or seeing someone say that they've never made a sly remark about mental health - the Brain suddenly goes *click* - etc - it's not an impassioned ranty-boop, it's a little reminder, I type some words, then off I go. If I was stressed about it, it wouldn't manifest in formulated typing.

Have I called justme names in my post, made slanderous remarks about his Mother in the post, etc? I don't think typing an above-average amount of words about a subject matter is particularly harmful, but again, info-dumps.

I mean this sincerely - if forum users tell you to kill yourself, you shouldn't tolerate that shit. Period. I lost a friend in 2021 to suicide on account of online comments such as that. It should be a no-tolerance thing. You might, in a private circle, where tone and facial expressions and so on are easily read and there are non-verbal rules about dark humour be able to do that - and fair whack - but not online. That is a bridge that shouldn't be crossed. As to what justme said being anything near as bad - no, it wasn't - again, you've conflated the amount of words with emotional vigour - I am just happy to call out what we'll call....."micro-inappopriate" comments now and then - and in this case it was because someone had said they had never made them, when I knew they had. In the same way if I saw someone suggesting you should kill yourself, I like to think I'd call it out very quickly.

Sincerely, as explained, stuff pops into my head, I respond, then I am onto the next thing. That isn't any attempt at "playing it cool" or "I am so unphased" as I absolutely DO get irritated/vexed by certain things - but you'll know what they are if we ever come to chat face-to-face. Gamekeepers claiming they don't shoot Hen Harriers, fly tipping - stuff like that you'll see me "worked up" - if anything, as counter-intuitive as it might sound, I probably (if speaking online) would type far LESS if pissed off - maybe a "fuck off" and nothing else, or whatever it was. I'm just (constantly) guilty of over-articulation.

...... it shouldn't be with you, you make out its kinda funny in your post??[/QUOTE]

Yes! I find it funny in a couple of ways.

justme made little snide silly comments - whether it was "again, you complete selfish pig" or opening a your team against thread with simply "zzzzz" and no team line-up or "I couldn't help myself, I have OCD, lol" etc etc for a period of time that spanned FOUR years (I do find that funny) and hypocritically is usually the one to complain about trolling (which is precisely what all his stuff regarding those threads was) with JPGs of trolls and "don't feed the troll" any time JockStrap posts in here - I Do find that funny, yes. I also find it a slightly different kind of "funny" that someone would post a virtuous comment about not saying anything disparaging about those with mental health issues when he has done it on the very forum he is using.

That's a really easy explanation. Batman (old forum user, probably less than 30 posts, I know him in "real" life) suggested I see how often justme had made silly comments as he had noticed it and at the time the old threads weren't deleted. He said "keep a track of that, shit is jokes" or something and I thought "fuck it, why not" - so at the time I clicked back a couple pages, found a thread, copy+paste the link into a Notepad document - "oh there's another one" and so on - and as I said, after about 9 or 10 I got bored - initially that was in like....2021. Search function wasn't needed. When I saw that it was important enough for him to keep doing like 6 or 7 times within a couple of months I found humour in it that someone could be that arsed, especially the OCD comment, which I (currently) see as less as funny and more as pathetic as it were.

Indeed, such was the fella's obsession with either making the comments, or making threads before the final whistle (when the very thing he claimed annoyed him was this idea that it meant I wasn't watching the game, so I didn't understand the hypocrisy) in an attempt to win some imagined race in his own head that I actually made the point of making a thread two Summers in a row called "Match threads for next season" - basically seeing if anyone else wanted to do them, given that they were enough of an issue for him for multiple seasons to make snide comments or have these races that only existed in his mind, that they should speak up, as I would very happily have given up that "role" on the forum as it were. Both times, silence. But give it a couple of months and a bad result......

Anyway - regarding the searching - if you have a good visual memory, which a lot of people with the 'tism tend to do (I know that someone started a thread called "help" on page 11 and someone started a thread called "iptv" on page 15 - why those have "stuck" to my Brain is beyond my comprehension) and are on a PC, you can click about and spot threads really quickly. My collation of those links at the time probably cost me about 4-6 minutes of my life.

If I was scrolling for hours writing manuscripts, that would indeed be "insane" - but the boring reality is a brief hyper-focus on a subject. There was a time you had made a thread a previous year, I found out, you (somewhat sarcastically, which was funny) made a joke about my ability to find the thread (the witty implication being that it had taken me a long time to find and why would I be bothered) when the reality was I knew that it was in-and-around page 43 - I think finding it had taken me 45-60 seconds, tops.

Looks like Germany have got even worse than they were at the last few tournaments. Winning 1:0 but Northern Ireland very much in the game - Germany with almost no ideas beyond a long ball - you expect more
