he ran a lot from an early age.back and forth up the line I think with having fitness issues in the last 2 years.. He stopped doing it for us.. he ran a lot in his career more than most players of his age.. You seen that with the likes of Raheem Sterling..
By 28 he was finished. Trent never been the best defensively and with him not getting forward like he use too. His defensive abilities have been highlighted more. All you see now is long balls to the forward line. some good balls no doubt about it.. But often he loses the ball as well

Yep... It still might work out in Madrid for him it is early days. IF they can get themselves back to a place where they can control the midfield and dominate the territory they like to operate in best - I can see Trents talent being hugely beneficial. The question is - how long does Trent get in the meantime while waiting for that to happen?

Pretty sure he played last game?
    That's 2 out of 3??

It's easy to see, trent vs weaker teams at home Carvajal against tougher teams, especially away.. it's called having options. alonso has basically come out and said that himself a while ago.

Stop being so dramatic, and who gives a fuck he's gone./ I hOpE He DoEz reAlLy sHIt AND FaIlz CUS HeS LEFT US OMG!!! MA NAMES STEVOOOOO kids be kidding, adults.... are not always adults

couldn't care less about him he's not here anymore.

Not sure what you are saying to be honest mate. Am I being dramatic? Just pointing out that he is seeing plenty of the bench while the only other genuine option is - not far from 34 year old - Carvajal.. And as mentioned earlier I don't want him to fail at all, quite the opposite, despite him taking the piss with us and going for free. I was totally against the ridiculous booing and the OTT vitriol..

I did - however suggest long long ago - way before he went for free...that I felt he would need to massively up his level to be a starter there.

Trent was world class, but not for the last several seasons. He'd regressed terribly.
One of the main reasons I'd have sold him in summer 2024. That and he looked like he didn't want to be here.

Robbo in contrast only fell off this last season, by far the better fullback at LFC & probably the best left back in the PL era.

It'd be a close run thing. I think Cole was better defensively (only just), but Robbo had a better engine and better final ball delivery.

With Trent you take the rough with the smooth. Up until last season he was world class. His numbers speak for themself and was/is doing things that very few fullbacks in world football can/could do.

Again, Carvajal is by far a better defender but he wouldn't have provided the same attacking output as Trent.

Gakpo is a better left back than Roberson.. and Gakpo had a better season than Salah last season

Robbo is the better defender imo, has better goals & assist stats, and a better mentality than Cole. Cole is 2nd to Robbo for me.

I'd say Trent has regressed badly over the last 2-3 seasons. A great attacking full back, but his defending was shocking in recent years.
I'd have had him as the best right back in the PL era but that defending really took its toll.
