    Match Thread: Burnley v Liverpool

    Liverpool XI v Burnley

Headline from this is of course, no Isak in the match day squad.

    Alisson
Szoboszlai, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister
    Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo
    ……. Ekitike.

Subs: Mamardashvili, Gomez, Endo, Chiesa, Robertson, Frimpong, Bradley, Nyoni, Ngumoha.

Apart from no Isak, there is also the point that we have our two right backs on the bench and a midfielder playing at right back …

Not enough training with the squad squad?

Think it's a mistake not to even have Isak on the bench. Also, perhaps he plans to bring on Frimpong for Salah late on to rum at tired legs.

They'll be low block and physical. Don't think we'll score too many today.

Away from home in the Premier League, even against newly promoted Burnley, I am concerned about our lack of physicality in midfield, MacAllister and Wirtz lining up together concerns me, though I’m probably in a minority. Think it leaves us particularly vulnerable on the break

I can't say that I like the look of our bench.

I agree with you and I think it has been an issue so far this season. Albeit the season is young.
