He's not ideal but just thinking of a way to protect the defence and free up have grav and szobo more. Either that or endo! :-)

If Jones is the answer, I really don't want to know what the question is.
Unfortunately we don't really have options when it comes to the CB positions, and on current evidence our FB's are much of a muchness. On one side of the pitch we have a choice between a previously promising youngster whose progress seems to have stalled alarmingly, and a FB who isn't really a FB. Then on the other side of the pitch we have a choice between a 'mature' FB who is not only slowing down but is also becoming increasingly error prone, and a FB who seems unsure of what exactly he is supposed to be doing and isn't offering enough both in defence and attack.
Given the porous nature of our defence, I think our priority should be giving our backline more protection. I'd play both Szoboszlai and Gravenberch closer to our defence. Doing that would have the added benefit of giving Wirtz more space to operate in.
Under 'normal' circumstances it should be obvious who our front three should be (Ekitike, Isak, Salah), but a large part of that depends on whether Salah pulls his finger out, and when. Chiesa should be an option but Slot obviously has an issue with him. That leaves us with either Gakpo or Ngumoha as an alternative if there are any issues with the starting front three.
I agree that it's desperation but the trouble with playing Szob and Grav back there, how do we connect to the attack? Wirtz would be the obvious answer but right now he doesn't seem capable of even holding onto the ball. Grav, to me would be the best link-man.
From the moment I picked your book up until I laid it down, I convulsed with laughter. Someday I intend on reading it. Groucho Marx
The problem with playing Gravenberch further forward is that you end up with an even bigger hole in midfield. Jones is just Jones, Endo was or at least should have been nothing more than a stopgap (and that was two years ago), whilst MacAllister contributes to that gaping hole in midfield because he's too slow and ponderous on the ball, never mind that he's frequently unaware of what's going on around him. All of that is also before Slot does something such as play Szoboszlai at RB which definitely isn't going to make us more defensively solid in midfield.
Just buy a 6, a proper 6 ffs. We needed that far more than a 10, which absolutely none of us thought we needed.
Stop the opposition scoring ffs it’s not rocket science.
Since the start of last season we have the highest number of away in which we have conceded 2 goals, 16, of any Premier League team.
That is woeful
I’d play endo and grav with szobo as an 8 and wirtz to come in off the bench. Start ekitike and isak together too.who plays on the right if not Salah is a big question. I think he’s reaching the stage of needing more minutes managed.
