I genuinely miss him as our manager. It sounds cliche but it was just different with him, he's the manager every fan would have loved to have.
Totally agree. In my lifetime, the high points are as follows:
the late eighties were when I started supporting. Was a bit too young to really appreciate how good we were back then. We then went through the suffering years.
We had some good times under Ged but the football wasn't great. Rafa brought us some great times and some good football too. 2009 beating Villa 5.0 I really thought the glory days were back.
Then we had Kenny for a brief spell. The end of the season 2011 was great.
We had the Rodgers years. Mostly frustrating but the football was sensation with Sturridge, Suarez and Sterling.
Then Klopp came and Boom! The football in a short time was so exciting. All out attack. I loved the Man City Champions League game in 2018 when we scored 3 early goals to blow them away. Yes, our defence was a bit ropey until VVD and Alisson were settled in but it was just great to watch exciting all out attacking football.
As you the say the man himself was the key of course. I'd have been happy if we finished top four every season with Klopp for the next 10 years as long as he was our boss.
From the moment I picked your book up until I laid it down, I convulsed with laughter. Someday I intend on reading it. Groucho Marx
