It's looking like a transition period for us this season and possibly next. If we could get Guehi/AN Other in in January, it would be good to start rebuilding the defence. The good news is that we've signed some quality players in forward positions to add to the quality we have left over from Klopp. We all knew we needed to rebuild the team. Sadly we left it late. Some of this should have happened last season and those players would have bedded in by now.

I love how Slot is under pressure yet Arteta whos spent 100s and 100s and 100s of millions more and won 1 fa-cup during lock down in 6 seasons is not under the same pressure. bizarre how things are..

Can be a long season. Usually the pundits are horrifically wrong so someone wins a few games they're the messiah. They all wrote us off at the start of last season and we walked it. This season we were gonna be champions by Christmas, now we're out of it. Can all turn around fast. Let's hope we can scrape a few results and start to get some momentum soon.

Well you have to look at Arsenal when Arteta took over in Late December 2019. The club were nowhere - played 18 games and 23 points sitting below Burnley..! They actually won the FA cup that summer but despite the appointment finished 8th with 56 points. That’s 43 points behind us as champions!
Cannot be forgotten that Arteta had never managed a club before that mid season appointment. The next season his first full season they again finished 8th but managed 61 points. Then 5th and 69 points in 2021/22. 2022/23 and he makes 84 points like we did last season but finished second to City. 2023/24 and he made 89 points and second to City by 1 point.
Compare this to Arne Slot - a seasoned manager taking over from the best manager on the planet who left behind a squad that somehow was capable of going close to a quad the season prior.. winning the title with that squad then spending his own fortune and his team performing like we have of late. 6 losses in our last 16 league games..
So while it is annoying to see Arteta escape what should be very loud voices due to a measly 1 FA cup haul after the MASSIVE money he has spent - I can see why the media aren’t going there.
He's not REALLY under pressure though is he ?
keep playing like this with no idea he might be sooner or later mind
On arsenal they've been kind of unlucky, like we was with City, city finally have a bad spell and then we take over.... not to mention all the injury problems last season, they're stacking up again but have squad to deal with it, one has to wonder how they get so many.
