I think it'll take time. But wirtz is showing good signs. Dominic took time to settle too. He was quite inconsistent when he arrived

Look .. I know in Germany he’s some sort of Demi God and people keep saying he’s an incredible talent and I really hope he comes good and shows it but I really have not seen enough from him yet, to be playing just two in midfield

Good win and hopefully brings some confidence.
Still look vulnerable though but can't complain about midfield and attack tonight.
Wirtz did ok but against such poor opposition he wasn't as stellar as you'd expect.
Their fans are impressive, black n white wall looked quality.
Yes, their fans were brilliant. All respect to fans like them and Dortmund
Ekitike has the confidence. Only one this season. Play him and keep playing him. Makes it easy for Dom - less pressure on Wirtz...The rest should fall into place...
When you need to attack with 6 or 7 and still can't score enough...is leaves you wide open at the back not to mention out of shape.
That touch of respect with their screen was really classy, not to mention their fans being wonderfully supportive of their side.
In case anyone missed it, when they listed our players on the bench on the screen inside the ground, Jota's name and number was at the bottom in blue, just to stand out a touch from the other names in white text.
I hate that I am applauding it, as it goes against how I wish the game would be played in general, but Jones really picked a few moments well with some of his decisions about buying us a breather. Talking about us getting a throw-in, winning a couple of free-kicks, not forcing passes that weren't on, that sort of thing.
It's "the basics" and yet it's the very stuff a number of our lads seem to be totally allergic to doing. A bit like the way Milner was the one player for us who'd be willing to take it to the corner flag towards the end of a match once in a while when everyone else would try to force a goal.
Doing the simple stuff well when a side isn't brimming with confidence is so important and that touch of "cuteness" (it wasn't exactly "dark arts" stuff or anything) needs to be in the team.
Wasn't over the moon with Arne stating that the lack of a long ball playing style from the opposition was the reason we did well today. It just ensures that Brentford will do just that next game...
