That's true they've built it over time......
but FSG & the team behind the scenes should've done that too, this summer should've never happened... we should have had a vision for longer term..... instead had to do everything at once, and still a lot left to do....
Left it for to long, same with the CB situation.
we're slow as fuck, now in this mess, kids have helped arsenal more than ours too, they've got some good ones.
Klopp's ‘Handicap’ -Slot's quote proves the Point.
Arne Slot's recent comments, no matter how much they sting after the money spent, perfectly highlight the underlying issue Klopp faced….The squad is still too small.
“When we played Chelsea, I said they are missing eight but they can still bring Estevao in. We are only missing four players at the moment and already we needed to start with four players under the age of 19 and after I made two substitutions we were on six." - Arne Slot
This isn't new - it's the FSG model in action. The better we perform, the more restrictive the budget seems to get. The glorious push last season was a testament to the great man Jurgen Klopp's will and leadership, not the depth of resources.
It should astound more people how a manager of Klopp's stature leaves with fans and owners desperate for him to stay, yet still had to operate within a brutally restrictive model. He leaves the club in incredible health on the pitch, but this success has masked successive windows of penny-pinching.
The recent spending splurge was a reaction, not a change in philosophy. It was an emergency measure that still hasn't fully addressed the need for rejuvenation and depth across multiple positions. The reality is that the tight-fisted American owners' model has continually forced our managers to over-rely on a core group and very young players when injuries hit. That was Klopp's true handicap, and Slot is already experiencing it.

Sounds like a Manager trying to say something other than what we all know, he picked a very weak side and wasn't arsed about more games in the EFL cup. A bench full of kids.
I'm guessing he didn't mention Klopp at all ?
It's a manager saying what many of us already knew years ago...and why many of us were upset despite Klopp's successes. What some of us suspected would lead to an early departure by Jurgen Klopp as stated on this very forum just a few months before he announced it himself.
It's what will see him on the wrong side of the owners in very short order unless he recants.

He recants. Slot backtracks on comments...
Slot also admitted he will not change Liverpool's playing style, amid this poor run of games
What style is this ???? I'm failing to see it
Concede for fun, pass sideways and back, build attacks slow as possible so the other team has time to regroup ?
Not only are we playing like man utd, now he's sounding like Ruben amorim last season........ jesus shut up, so just in a week he's told everyone how to play against us, and he's not changing tactic, fantastic.
"He recants. Slot backtracks on comments... " wouldn't have to if he just shut the fuck up

Boston has been in touch, maybe Linda made the call late at night, husky tones making it clear he better be publically thankful what he has or there be no low ball bid for guehi in Jan and it'll be a Endo and Gomez partnership CB for the FA cup run.
