Just shows the difference in quality in the leagues in my opinion, and perhaps styles of teams.

Good as he was, salah still had to carry us pretty much most of last season, and has done for a while

But i can't be bothered to keep talking about ex players- so carry on I'd rather focus on the now and the huge game later we'll probably lose, ok?

Gakpo is better anyway, just ask CCTV

    Mamardashvili

    Bradley Konate Van Dijk Robertson

    Szoboszlai Gravenberch Mac Allister

    Salah Ektike Wirtz

Agree with 19's lineup.. had enough rest I think...why change it..?

Diaz in the prem played 103 goals 29 Assists 18

Why don't you ever mention mane who was streets ahead of Diaz, when both played for us, anyhow you know that guy that was here twice as long as Diaz... and scored x3 the amount and assists, but yeah you're more obsessed with Diaz than you ever was when mane left. 1 goal or assist every 180 diaz 242.. not great is it? and don't try tell me mane didn't work hard

What's with Bayern taking our LW's anyway when nearing 30, they can take gakpo in a few years if they want.

Nice finish for that goal..... but mane is far the best LW we've had for a while, his finishing was so much better, stats and fact don't lie he was incredible.

Mane was amazing and both myself - 19 especially and many others were shocked we allowed him to leave when he did. Also Gini... However Diaz usurped him on the wing. Mane was pushed into CF..where he did very well. Diaz was a monster pre injury. Looking like he was returning to that level last season and looks to be close to back to it this season..

We sold him this summer. the comment on him starting and us winning should be acceptable without folks throwing their knickers out --- posting that goal from yesterday should be a talking point for Liverpool fans... especially so so soon after he was sold and at a time where we have lost so many games scoring so few and conceding so many..

    But carry on..

Robbo has come back in the team and results have improved, Robbo a staunch LFC lad and likely the best left back in the PL based on stats.

Alisson the best keeper in the world has been out for a while now and we've struggled without him. Giorgi isn't at the same level for shot stopping or playing with the ball at his feet.

Virgil has had really poor body language with Kerkez and hes back on form now with his long time left back Robbo at his side.

Scoring goals has not really been an issue, its been defensive issues and of course Steveo scoffs at people rating Robbo, cause Robbo ain't a little ratman, so steveo cannot relate to him.

Robbo has been one of the best left backs around - and for a long long time. but Robbo’s legs are not what they were - the club clearly prioritised a replacement or at least that’s how it looks.

Here is more spin - I never ever scoffed at anyone rating Robbo - that’s just bollox…. But I never believed he was the best LB to play in the prem. I take peak Cashley Cole over peak Robbo.

That’s not to put Robbo down in the slightest - I think Cole was the best the prem ever saw. Many others do too - I do believe klopp made very good players look world class tho.

    but again - carry on…

City seem to be in very good form, particularly Haaland. So not too confident given our defensive woes during most of the season.

Some good signs in our last two games though, so just hoping the team gives a very good account of themselves to keep that going.
