    Match thread v Manchester City

    Team confirmed:

Same 11 rightly get the nod

    Mamardashvili

    Bradley Konate Van Dijk Robertson

    Szoboszlai Gravenberch Mac Allister

    Salah Ektike Wirtz

433 Improved pressing and counter pressing game, Intensity tempo variation passing finishing leave 2 up one hanging wide one more central depending on the play, inside out and outside in runs looking to be released in behind down the line or through the channels

Go direct when it’s on with the target supported by a player looking to win the second ball as City’s press has been beginning to look increasingly got like our used to mixing it up and driving it forward when it’s on may be inportant

    Get the win no excuses

Any news on how Frimpong is doing? Just thinking it would be good to get him om the bench too. Could be a good way to integrate him to play against tired legs.

Not too far off but not until after the break - initially suggested as a 6 week lay off. Early December?

going to pack the midfield. thats a good ploy as long as they pick up runners up and don;t leave it to others, Anyway nice solid start and take it from there. I'd take a draw to be honest.. But going for a 2-1 win.

All day long Justin interesting to see what Wirtz will bring but not that dynamism that Diaz did but there’s some good movement and link up options with Robbo in that mix too and Bradley likely a bit deeper or sticking to Doku like he did Hirseface midweek
