Yes he has said that. Both can be true though? If we believe everything being reported, then slot has been told to not play mó. Again all rumours.

None of us will know what's happening. My last post was all rumour mill stuff from the itk people. It's been reported by a few so probably some truth to it. The upper wants to cash in.

I’m siding with Mo on this, will be a massive shame if he leaves this window on such a sour note after all he has achieved with the club.

He hasn’t played/ started for the last few games and we’ve not exactly set the world on fire with him not involved.

If there is no relationship with Slot then why shouldn’t he come out and say it.

He’s pissed off as he is the one dropped and not involved.

It lasted 6/7 months and then - you could argue Slot ball started to get into the system.

Thing is - despite deficiencies in a few areas we failed to address, we signed quality footballers. There is no way you can tell me they cannot be amalgamated into a side capable of top four from this point on. This is the issue for Arne... You expect new signings to take time, but you don't expect your key players - backbone of what won the title.. the stalwarts... to go to shyte at the same time.. This is the thinking and forms the bigger question the owners will be asking..

Mo said the club didn't offer him a contract last year, and people believed him when it was obvious contracts were being offered.
Fowler came out shortly thereafter and said contracts were done for VVD & Salah, but not being announced to protect Trent.

There is some very good ‘next level’ football developing under Slot. Yes I know it’s only Pre season friendly etc… but still.

It is a different approach to Klopp’s. Not massively but it is different - dare I say it, a more compete form of the game. It would be magic if we could become adept enough at it to mount a title challenge with this style. Not expecting that at all this season.

But the early signs are very encouraging

August 4th 2024 is the start of our football without Klopp in the dugout. Barely 2 months following on from Jurgen’s call to arms at Anfield - which is - in Liverpool BTW

And I am saying what I saw. Which was a slightly more controlled game. As I mentioned just a few days ago and which seems to have become apparent - in the transition from Heavy Metal Football - to Slot ball we played a brand pretty close to my preference. The intensity was still there tho (until march) but players were that little bit less taxed (something I argued with you for years required a bigger squad and led to muscle fatigue ) - shorter less risky passing allied to a more controlled approach - clearly preserved the muscles a little more - allowing Slot to pick from Jurgen's best 11 for enough games to take the title

By march the intensity was gone. Visibly. Not just PSG or Toon at Wembley but plenty other games before and after where we simply got over the line. The mentality instilled by the great German IMO.

Given that most of our players are playing poorly, the biggest culprit when it comes to our current plight is liable to be Slot. What Salah has said means that on top of having issues with Slot, he also has issues with Hughes and Edwards. Maybe one or two of our other players are in a similar position.

Looking at the haphazard nature our transfer business in the summer, combined with the aimless crap we've served up this season, I'd say that many of us also have issues with the same people. No Guehi, no DM, Wirtz signed for a then record fee despite not being natural fit for our team, and both Ekitike and Isak being signed without a coherent plan in place in how to play them both. We're an absolute mess both on and off the pitch.

From the outside it looks like the club want salah gone and are forcing him out. From the outside I stress..

If he goes in January without playing g again, it will be a travesty. He won't deserve to leave like that.

Agree. I'd hate to see that happen. It would make me and plenty of us very sad indeed.
