Wes need to buy four cbs in January then though. Clubs dropped the ball in some way obviously. Players are out of form lacking in confidence and looking like they are a bit despondent. It happens. Club needs to figure out the best way to remedy that whether its players manager or both or nether that needs to go.

Saudi club Al-Hilal are ready to launch a January bid for Liverpool's Egypt winger Mohamed Salah, 33. (Sun), external

Liverpool have already lined up a replacement for Salah - Bournemouth's Ghana international forward Antoine Semenyo, 25. (Express)
I suppose the conclusion is we need VVD more than we need Mo, shame, depends on what is offered, Mo's salary would be split between at least two incoming Semenyo and Guehi ???? an era is coming to an end

Mo is heading off to Afcon for a month. I’ve no idea why he felt the need to throw a grenade at Slot before leaving. If he’s going to sulk at being benched then maybe it’s best he move on in January.

    Oh the irony...

IF Salah thought he was applying pressure to the manager, then he went completely the wrong way about it. He's actually liberated him. By making it public, Mo made the issue about his own attitude rather than Slot's ability. He absorbed all the media heat, allowed Slot to demonstrate absolute authority, and created a scenario where Slot wins regardless of how Salah performs next, if indeed he ever gets the chance.

Let's see how many folks wake up, and start to think a little differently about this.

Here's a thought: Perhaps Slot was never the target of his ire..?

Tell us Victor, what's this cryptic, 4D chess that Salah is playing that only you and he can understand.

I mean Salah clearly isn't lashing out because he's been benched so what is the reason for running to the press.

Hang on, I'm gettting signals here ... It's starting to become clear ....

    It's ...

Wow. It's F$G. Who could have guessed.

This is some subliminal stuff from Mo. When he says this, it has nothing to do with him being dropped:

What couldn't you believe? "That I'm sitting on the bench for 90 minutes! The third time on the bench, I think for the first time in my career. I'm very, very disappointed to be fair. I have done so much for this club down the years and especially last season.

"Now I'm sitting on the bench and I don't know why. It seems like the club has thrown me under the bus. That's how I am feeling. I think it is very clear that someone wanted me to get all of the blame.

"I got a lot of promises in the summer and so far I am in the bench for three games so I can't say they keep the promise.

"I said many times before that I had a good relationship with the manager and all of a sudden, we don't have any relationship. I don't know why, but it seems to me, how I see it, that someone doesn't want me in the club.

"This club, I always support it. My kids will always support it. I love the club so much. I will always do. I called my mum yesterday - you guys didn't know if I would start or not, but I knew.

"Yesterday I said to them, come to the Brighton game [on 13 December]. I don't know if I am going to play or not, but I am going to enjoy it. In my head, I'm going to enjoy that game because I don't know what is going to happen now.

"I will be in Anfield to say goodbye to the fans and go to Africa Cup of Nations. I don't know what is going to happen when I am there."
Clearly he's not thinking about being on the bench at all. It's a brilliant ploy to free up Slot. Or something.

He spoke directly about Slot, having no relationship with Slot now. Having said nice things about him in the past.

Guehi won't leave in January. For the sake of six months in a team that has a lot of potential this season to a team in crisis, he won't risk becoming like Isak to the Newcastle fans.

He's not refusing Liverpool to stay at Palace.

Step forward and explain how Salah’s outburst has done anything other than cast him as the a villain and into the bargain take a huge amount of pressure and all the debate about Slot and his predicament completely off the front pages..?

    Please expose your naivety.

    and:

"I said many times before that I had a good relationship with the manager, and all of a sudden we don’t have any relationship.”

"I don’t know why but it seems to me, how I see it, that someone doesn’t want me in the club.”

If this isn’t as clear an indication that Salah feels like pressure is being applied from over the managers head…. then I don’t know what is.
