Nothing you have asked is difficult for me. Owners, players, staff are in it to make money. That much is obvious.
I'm asking why you support Liverpool. You said you know the answer so share it.

Yea but - you see it's not a stupid question just because it makes things difficult for you.
Problem is - you're the one questioning why anyone with no association to the city becomes a Liverpool fan. I know what my own association is.. What's yours I wonder? A Scotch dialect on an internet forum? But beyond that.. who and what exactly represents Liverpool FC in 2025? A bunch of penny profit seeking billionaires who bagged the most successful club in the land 'for a steel'? If not the friends of former Barclays CEO Bob Diamond... then is it the vast array of players from around the globe.. none of whom have any association with the city of Liverpool? What is it Jokestrap? I am asking you. Define it.
Is it the badge..? Alone - are we kneeling at the church of a logo? Is it the grass at L4..? The love of the 'burbs...Fazakerley...Knotty Ash?
What is it exactly that you are trying so desperately to achieve here? Do you even know?
Either you're being intentionally obtuse or we've reached the limit of your intellect.
In pursuit of refusing to accept the flaw in your logic you've stepped into the realms 'the life of a fan'. It's absurd.![]()

No - I asked you that question - Stop inventing scenarios.. I have many times given my background and deep links to the city. I don't need to ingratiate a troll like you with the same..
So - jokestrap...what are yours.. You arrived in a maelstrom of re written Scottish dialect garbage... What are your links to Liverpool?
I shall wait with baited breath...
Look, if you don't want to engage that's fine. Stop pretending like you do.
I've asked everyone a simple question, especially those not from the city. Why do you support Liverpool? That should be easy to answer but the vast majority seem unwilling to do so.

Vivid memories for me as a 7 year old kid(nearly 8) in early 1976,watching clips on Football Focus of the swaying kop and the all red kit....A few months later listening to the final game away at Wolves on BBC radio with me old Great Uncle and being delighted we won 3-1 and took the title....Been hooked ever since....![]()
That's a good post. I suspect for a lot of people the answer looks something like that. And we're getting to the point. The support for LFC has nothing to do with affinity for the city, at least not initially. That might come over time.
If you'd seen Lincoln City on the tele instead of Liverpool back then, you might be a Lincoln City fan today. Or mabye not. Because the success of the club likely plays a role in continued support. Again, at least initially. If you'd seen Liverpool once and they faded off into the old Division 2, would you still be a fan as an 8 year old. Probably not.
Which leads us back to my controversial but pointed and probably accurate "glory hunter" tag. Like it or not, there's a large element of glory hunting in almost every fan who is not from the city.
