What about Chiesa's moments? Whether he's good enough is a debate to be had but when the other player in that position is absolutely stinking the place out then surely he has to be given a proper go?

That should be the same of any player.

I've always been of the opinion that the shirt is yours until it isn't. And at the moment Mo isn't doing enough to keep the shirt.

What moments, can score goals like salah did and does ?

He's not good enough to start every week anyhow, not sure why he's suddenly the mesisah to some.

if we wanted someone who ran and worked hard.... why did we sell Nunez ?

Needs to leave for his own good, slot obviously doesn't rate him, he'd do good for a team like Villa, or maybe back to italy as he could play in a top team over there, napoli perhaps..... bit more slower for him.

This. If today, against Wolves, showed anything it's that Chiesa isn't good enough to start for us. He can be a useful sub with 20 minutes left to go but the PL is just too quick for him.

Just short on match fitness through not getting the. Minutes he’d earned

He played sone really great passes today and linked well with Frimpong Ekitike and Wirtz

He is short on match fitness so it was good for him to get a run out. He certainly didn't do anything great though.

He did ok but not enough to keep his place. Injuries over the next few weeks will determine how much playing time he gets. After that, it's domestic cup games and impact sub appearances.

Disagree he made a really good dash backnto snuffnout an attack in the lb position which salah would never do. He worked like a fucking dog while he was on.

Yep - that’s why we were so comfortable first half - went 2 goals up and also part of why with him off the pitch we fell apart - especially the last 20 minutes. But I guess we shouldn’t let the facts get in the way of an agenda

He did work hard. I still don't think he starts ahead of Salah, Slobo or Frimpong.

Is that not our current issue though workrate seems to be off. I remember an interview with gini after he played a game in bobbys false 9 role and said it was insane trying to play as he did with the ammount of off the ball work. Fredi starts again next day hard work always beats talent.

He got a chance against Wolves and didn't do enough to suggest he should be starting. It's really obvious why he is being used as a sub. Granted he could do with more game time but then you have to leave someone out to accommodate him and I don't know who that is.

Hard work is all well and good but it's only part of the equation. They need to bring the required ability as well. He's not going to start ahead of Salah (if he stays) for obvious reasons. And even if Salah goes, he's not going to start ahead of Slobo or Frimpong. And rightly so. They've all shown more ability, pace and are better suited to the PL than Chiesa. That doesn't mean he's a bad player but I struggle to think of a single PL team that he would improve. I doubt he'd bring enough pace to a side like Wolves to help them out. I watched Sunderland v Leeds earlier and I don't think he starts in either of those teams.
