I think we’ll get mullered trying to play 4231 Slot ball against their fluid 4231/433 and press

Need to go direct when it’s on and often, going to be best using wide forwards for that

I think 4312 but with the two one going wide one coming in and not playing up against their fluid CBs, play a bit lopsided maybe Gakpo staying more wide and Ekitike taking up a more inside right forward position

Maybe both forwards taking wide positions to be hit or a run in behind connected

The ball backed up by a mid and/or full back that side

The forward opposite side to where it goes immediately making an outside in run when it’s going the other side

Keep them guessing with that 3 picking up different positions and movement throughout

If Ekitike isn’t fit play Szobo there and Macca RCM Jones LCM

Szobo will get hold of that ball and link and has pace to make runs in behind and the touch to bring it down

Transition to 3322 3313 with one full back staying one going or moving to where the mid was with them having moved forward
