We’re well capable of getting a draw. We have the players for that. Keep it tight - be clinical and we could win. But it’s not that likely.

Not sure how Slot plans to deploy his side. I can’t see him going as he did at Fulham. He will tinker.

Might end up fielding 3 RB’s across the game…

Much depends on Hugo. If he doesn’t play then that really does prove the lucky Arsenal moniker truth. We’d be without both strikers while Mo is also away at Afcon. This same jammy bunch faced Bayern recently with Diaz suspended.

    Anyway…

I would play Wirtz as 19 suggests and hope for the best.

There is the slim possibility that players turn up as we know that we'll get hammered otherwise so there may be a sense of urgency that hasn't been there in other games.....could go either way really. If we concede an early goal you'd have to fear we'll crumble.

    3-0 from corners/set pieces

Add a konate/VVD blunder or 2 from open play 5-0

I often worry more about the so called "winnable" games.

We make a great underdog don't forget. Remember Real Madrid..? Everyone thought we'd get smashed.. Admittedly that was at Anfield but we destroyed them to be fair. That's the level this team can attain - IF - the players have the right mentality and are up for it they can match the Arse. It's going to have to come from them, 'cause I don't believe the head coach has the skills nor the remit.

BUT based on the evidence of this season and the back end of last... it looks like a grim outing.

That's the spirit. I'm sure it will be all Slot's fault no matter what happens. Him and Wirtz obviously.

A Konate bluder is the most likely problem.

Ekitike being out is a big problem. I would have fancied us to get a result with him in the side. It's going to be difficult now but I'm not losing hope just yet.

I agree Steveo. The concern would be our 3-0 at City, we have a tendency to fold when things go against us this season and v City it was Virgil’s disallowed goal.

Yep...and a pretty big turning point.. not saying we would have won but that goal changes everything.

    Is Hugo confirmed as out?

Even if he's back he won't be 100% rather not risk him and get ready for the upcoming games

Sad state of affairs but this game is a free hit for me, we fucked up by not winning winnable games last few weeks- we've got a bit of a tough run coming upthat could see us outside the top4 by the end of it.

Especially if we don't make any transfers.... would not surprise me

Come on Kev - we HAVE to play him v the Arse. We can't be resting him.

He can cause massive problems for Arse with his movement and trickery. The fella is quality. Without him we are going to have to need divine intervention.

Coutinho was the player they most feared. Then Mane - Then Diaz.. I know this as Gooner Steve
