If he is getting £300k a week instead of £200k a week, that is an additional £26m over 5 years.

His fee is £20m. It’s still well within what is feasible for an England International in a position we are desperate to fill.

We were happy with £200k a week (apparently) and paying £35m for him, this works out at around £11m more inc wages over 5 years

We have no idea what the final price is. It's 20m to Palace but how much to Guehi for a sign on bonus? How much in bonuses each season if they do well?

Then add in the extra wages. There comes a point where you just have to move on.
