But they were 43 points behind us in 2020 - and they finished 17 points ahead of us in 2023 - that's a 60 point swing dear mr Shill.. despite us having the best manager in the world. Perhaps part of the reason why they have been getting close and probably will break that cycle this season - has something to do with them NOT relying on 1 single senior CB since January 1st 2018..

The time frame illustrates perfectly how the side that was 43 points behind us in 2020 has massively gained ground to finish 2 out of the last 3 seasons above us and sadly - likely to be 3 out of the last 4.

The fact that Arsenal haven’t won a bean doesn’t mask the reality at all. Arteta isn’t of the class of Klopp or Pep. Not easy to win your first title, BUT their points progression across the very same period as our points regression could be seen as a parallel to the senior Centre back situation at both clubs.
