In time he could fit the Firmino role but if we look at a new system. Wirtz behind a fit Ekitike & Isak & wingbacks bombing forward as in Frimpong & Kerkez?Might just work under xabi if we strengthen elsewhere

we're not signing anyone in this window.. I know we need a centre back. but its not happening.

as for needing a number 10. I think we need more centre midfielders.someone with a bit of strength. Macca seems to have lost his legs.Need a strong midfield and someone to get into the box, not a play making number 10. it never works. slows your play down. we had a play maker in Firmino but he was a false 9.. If Wirtz is going to make it. he needs to be similar to Firmino and get his fair share of goals and assists .to be fair hes improved in the last 2/3 weeks. he needs to keep it going. I would play Ekitike narrow of a 3 up the pitch on the left Wirzt as the false 9 and Salah or someone else on the right. that allows one or 2 of your midfielders to get in behind and get into the box.. we are just over passing it now.

The moment I lost respect for Slot was when he said he can't play against a low block. He basically told everyone team how to play against us. The drop off in players like Mac,Mo & Virgil has been dramatic & I'm not sure that's about age. Bradley dropped off,new signings struggled & never seems to be a plan b. Hes playing a dull Dutch passing system that means we have 80% possession & get nowhere. It doesn't fit the players we have. And why are we always worse after his half time team talk?

On the subject, I think we'll end up with Schlotterbeck, I hope konate stays otherwise we'll end up in the same position as now, if Leoni comes back from his injury & proves he can be a solid backup sure, that's my 4 CB's because VVD won't last forever, gomez is now 28 and isn't exactly mr.reliable, wouldn't cry if he left but we need english players I guess.\

My dream summer would be CB, no6, LW, RB in that order probably, but we're never going to get everything we need, possibly RW too depending on salah, chiesa might as well leave.... but we probably can't afford to replace him & and get what we need sadly..

we need a CB now really, but it's not going to happen is it, we need a couple of players to secure european football to be safe no I don't mean the europa or conference league... but lets face it, we do things different.

Which is why I don't think we're run very well- it's been going on for years, we're always one step behind squad-wise never have enough depth, or always lacking in something, last summer hasn't exactly changed things, we need more youth coming through too that can actually make it, it's not good enough.
