Kerkez the new robbo, frimpong adds something different, eritikie is eritikie.
Wirtz settling in,maybe not a £111m player and would have been accepted more as a 60m-70m player.
Great performance from players and manager need to take it into premiership now.
Yep, was great to see, Especially kerkez and Frimpong . Just have to kick on in the league.

It highlights the level that this group should be putting down consistently. We saw similar in Milan tbf - that was also a very accomplished performance - in many ways the perfect away day in Europe too that.

I'm not getting too carried away just yet though because neither Inter nor Marseille are special.. I think plenty of Premier league sides take points off both.

The away day at the Emirates - still the best football we have played imo and against better opposition. That's the level we need and expect.

Same set up as the game v Arsenal and City away last season. It seems to work pretty well in big, difficult games.

If we can ally it with a better way of playing when we're the stronger team we've got a decent chance of finishing the season strongly. It needs to be more of the 50mins v Burnley rather than anything we've seen fir most of the season.

Thought Jomez and Kerkez were excellent. It's such a real shame that Gomez can never keep himself fit. He'd have likely had a legendary career here rather than the bitty / mixed / maligned one he's had.

    Arsenal away,really?
We did well with the injuries we had but we set up not to lose,if arsenal had scored we would have had no reply.good result but thats all.

True on formation and tactics and shaky early doors but second half - not close to full strength by a distance - champions elect - no Hugo or Mo - and second half we schooled them imo. the football was beautiful. passing at top level. frankly I don’t know how we didn’t score

EDIT: I don't mean we had loads of chances - zero shots on target from 7...but from the control we had in front of their area I was expecting a goal. Arsenal were on the ropes. Had we been a bit more adventurous I think we do score and Wirtz was clearly fouled in the box..

That was much better Kerkez defending well we need a lot more from him on delivery

Everyone involved too was nice to see hope to see further improvement v Bournemouth need to pick up better as they have a couple who advance very quickly though midfield if not

I think Slot gets it badly wrong v low blocks and needs a rethink but Bournemouth won’t be that so another good win I hope

    Good post

yeah I know we didn't get the win against burnley but that was freaky, we dominated and we had plenty of shots on target, not sure what Slot could've done in all honestly

The signs have been there, we are improving, we are clicking and we're fast improving, bit more faster than Aquallini thread back in the day.

Things are on the up, and it's a good job because we've got a tough run coming up.

I still think 4 3 1 2 against low block, puts 2 targets in the box for kerkez & frimpong to aim at wirtz through balls ,dom, mac, gravenberch have decent efforts from outside box although adding a DM to stay back making a back 3 against balls over the top.
