When did you join the forum and why?

I joined on whatever date in 14/15. Was lurking for a while and it seemed like a good place.

I'd followed the 19x 13/14 Lucas DM and bum out Allen debate versus the forum essentially, and backed up 19 against a gang of posters.
Given such fine margins in 13/14 I felt the proposition from 19 was certainly not ridiculous.

Have had some great exchanges with posters on here over the years. Some great off topic and footy forum threads.

It's a real shame the forum is shredding older threads, and as a result losing our records and posts from yesteryear posters.

Either way the Forum needs genuine folks like you who can rise above the crap and offer their insight and their experience.

Looked around for LFC forums and landed here.

It was a really good crowd back in the day.
I remember pretty much everyone who’s been mentioned.
There was Nigel (N4C) the stats man.

I also remember Ducatiboy and Mo posting a vid of the two of them performing a Dirk Kuyt song, absolute classic.

I’ve been posting less of late as it has been a lot less enjoyable.
I don’t mind a debate, I enjoy a good reasoned argument of differing opinions but it’s gone beyond that.

Three people on here just cannot stand someone having a different opinion. They don’t argue their point they just wade in with insults, trying to belittle whoever thinks differently to them, then taking great delight in trolling the other person for weeks if they think they have been proven right.

Just get over yourselves ffs you are just another average Jo on a forum expressing an opinion.
And you find they are usually the “Uber Fan” type who think never EVER criticising a current player, the manager or the owners makes you a better fan.

Jeez it makes me nauseous.

The worst of the lot just goes round every thread just laying into anyone and everyone who does follow the Uber way. What an absolute wanker.

Looked on here the other day and the last post on the top 10 Threads were all him talking absolute bollocks. I just left, I have no interest in reading anything it has to say. No substance to anything just constant shilling.

Really is like a virus has infiltrated the Forum.

Miller you’re on the list always enjoyed talking football with you too and there have been so many good reds. Everyone had their differences of opinion but it was never like it’s become this season.

I’ve posted more in response to it I guess and sorry if that offends but I just don’t like what’s been going on.

I’ve had so many great times here with genuine top reds. I hope ppl know me enough that I can get carried away but recognise that by how funny I found 19x’s downfall and other ppl ripping me to get me to realise I was on one 😂

I hoped this thread would encourage all the older guard to post more and ignore the noise

We were here through some bad times too, Hodgson I remember posting the Corporal Jones “Don’t panic” a few times 😂 it was necessary

Us old boys should have a meet up sometime, that would be great and I I disappear it might be I’ve been made homeless after losing my parents and not survived it, but thanks to all of you here in this thread in advance it’s been great and you’ve been great

Back in the day you guys always put me back on track if I was going too far although you all encourage me too on that thread but the forum was cool thrn and so much more of a community and posters who you got on with would reign you in a bit and your take it

I have strong opinions I don’t expect everyone to agree with, I sometimes overdo it, but it’s usually because I think maybe ppl are being harsh on a player I think is suffering through a change that’s causing the issue and just want them to try and consider that, that used to start healthy debate
