Something that never happened even during the dreadful Hodgson era.
Kenny was manager for the Anfield game (go ahead King Kenny!) whereas we lost 3-0 at their place under the Hodge.

We're not winning it this year.
    Not on this form.
    Not with this team.
    Not with this manager.

So why wait for an inevitability you know is going to happen anyway to do what everyone knows is the obvious thing you have to do?

Getting rid of him only AFTER we've failed to qualify for the Champions League and finish the season without any silverware is the quintessential texbook FSG style of closing the barn doors after the horses have bolted.

And the irony of course is that we'll lose out on a Champions League place to either or both teams that did EXACTLY that - what we should have done - and got rid of their underperforming managers and brought in new ones that turned the ship around.
I'd say that Hughes and Edwards play the biggest roles when it comes to both manager and player recruitment. Getting rid of Slot and some players after spending hundreds of millions of pounds isn't going to reflect well on them. With that being the case they are likely to wait untill things have become untenable before they open the trap door. Until the club's revenue start taking a big hit, Edwards and Hughes are also going nowhere.

Great for half an hour second half

Then Slot went and spoiled it all by dropping off

We’ve dropped at least another 8 points from dropping off having got ourselves ahead with 10 minutes or less left in sure

    When will he fucking learn

Most ppl learn when they get bitten once m, we’ve been bitten 4-6 times doing it this season

When we got to 2-2 v Bournemouth he went one up and stopped playing as we had been to get to 2-2 and look at that
Twice v Leeds v Fulham too I think and a couple more besides keeping the press on higher and picking up and keeping on playing is THE BEST WAY to defend a fucking lead

It’s maddening it really is to do it again

Could - perhaps should - have used Endo at right-back to get Szob's energy into midfield.

    Not especially ideal either, granted.

Got to take the positives from it.
Which are - unless Dom Szobozlai scores a worldie - even at home a against the best domestically we can’t score

    This.

We were not a threat to them in open play.

Everyone's going to forget that little bit of factoid under the cloud of that chaotic finish.

    Slot is the Head Coach.

He coaches the players, he picks the team and the tactics. We have been so bloody awful this season it’s not about individual errors it’s about the way we go out and play, under instruction from the Head Coach.

This season IS on the manager.

We have continually failed to see games out dropping innumerable points in injury time. Hammered at home by the likes of Forest and PSV.

Failed to beat ANY of the 3 promoted teams at Anfield for the first time in God knows how long.

And now looks unlikely we will qualify for the Champions League.

    NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Amazing how people blame Slot today, having taken a lead and then to capitulate in that manner, that's on the lads on the pitch.
