I know that what you're saying is right and true, but it's still stupid to me nonetheless (that that's what it'll take for FSG to get rid).
Unless the Mancs and Chelsea suffer a monumental collapse (*spoiler alert: They're not), we're not getting that 4th place for the Champion's League spot for next season and the only other way we would get in is if we win it this year.
We're not winning it this year.
Not on this form.
Not with this team.
Not with this manager.
So why wait for an inevitability you know is going to happen anyway to do what everyone knows is the obvious thing you have to do?
Getting rid of him only AFTER we've failed to qualify for the Champions League and finish the season without any silverware is the quintessential texbook FSG style of closing the barn doors after the horses have bolted.
And the irony of course is that we'll lose out on a Champions League place to either or both teams that did EXACTLY that - what we should have done - and got rid of their underperforming managers and brought in new ones that turned the ship around.
