    Liverpool v Brighton FA Cup

A week off after this game I’d be really tempted to play pretty much the same 11 get done more cohesion and composure instilled. Kerkez on the bench for me especially

No back up keeper for this let’s build on the last game

Gakpo was so poor I’m having to put Chiesa in

    Alisson

    Szoboslai Konate Van Dijk Robbo

    Gravenberch Mac Allister Wirtz

    Salah Ekitije Chiesa

    Get the win, NO excuses

Gakpo’s been so poor every fave has he not? With Robbo’s better passing and astute positioning it’s worth a game in the Cup surely

    Alisson

    Gomez Konate Van Dijk Kerkez

    Gravenberch Slobo Mac Allister

    Chiesa Gakpo Rio

Don't think there's a chance Robbo starts this after playing 90 minutes against Sunderland. Rio and Chiesa get another chance. Gakpo up front. Gomez back just in time for another stint at RB.

A rest for Salah, Ekitike and Wirtz who would be on the bench.

Rather play a stronger side and get players off and give the fringe players opportunities with as many of the best 11 as possible

It will be interesting to see which way Slot goes on that. Salah, Ekitike and Wirtz can't keep playing every game.

A game slot could do without, squad down to barebones and wont want to risk injuries in a fa cup game.
Issue is slot has moved on best young players.

Yeah I would never want us to actually "throw" a match but this is the least arsed I have been about an FA Cup fixture in a while - I'd hate to think a Cup run to the quarters or semis (only to not win) could cost us Champion's League participation for next season and all the stuff that comes with it (attracting players, keeping players, ability to pay higher wages, money to continue squad renewal) going forward. We need a sustained period of Champion's League presence.
