It wasn't his best performance. It wasn't even close to being his best performance. But it's fun to watch you try to back out of that corner you put yourself in.

He's usually the hardest working player in the team. Was hoping he would be some kind of magician though.

Often had the moments though that should make a difference if capitalised upon - Man City people felt he was quiet despite the likes of the exquisite pass towards Ekitike.

Agree, he was excellent again. but I really wish he’d put his laces through it when shooting instead of trying to place it.

Ffs,most of us call it as we see it,wirtz was poor before xmas and most if us stated that,now he has settled in,getting a good partnership going with ekitikie and rightly earning praise.
Thats not to say there wont be games where he will get called out for a poor performance,thats football.
The egyptian king is a prime example.
