    Nottingham Forest v Liverpool

Got a week to work really hard on everything and build again on tonight. Work on how Mo and Gakpo were better with Chiesa as a false 9 and work with Ekitike to incorporate some of that into his game, dropping in at times with the 2 ahead of him

    Alisson

    Szoboslai Konate Virgil Robbo

    Gravenberch Macca Wirtz

    Salah Ekitike Gakpo

Really hard pick, I really want that midfield 3 of Szobo Macca and Grav that bossed the league last season, I know he’ll start Wirtz, I’m not sure he’s actually what we needed to unlock low blocks, we didn’t struggle with it last season

Direct and winning the second balls and releasing both wide forwards early when it’s on always really worked for us, constantly trying to play the ball through the eye of a needle through the centre just hasn’t worked it takes away our tempo, intensity, cut and thrust and creativity

Use the long diagonals from deep, cross field passes and switches, back those balls up with runners from full back and midfield and or Ekitike coming shorter to get knocks downs etc Every time we win a second ball there it’s a new point of attack they aren’t set for

Love to see what Wirtz can do from there, backing up Gakpo or Ekitije getting the second ball and having Mo Ekitike or Gakpo to release, could be dynamite

    Get the win NO excuses

    Just so you know

This pre match thread was for years called Your team v

And everyone went in and posted their teams and why some in some depth others not

The forum even last season did it in a lucky pants style fashion or player with the shirt if you like

Sid dis it very successfully for a good while and stopped I think because Kev & Justme (I think) apologies if wrong had several goes at him about starting the thread after the last match had finished and they were still busy ranting

Sid did it as he did through his mental make up and superstition I think and nobody had an issue with it but those two as I remember

I only started doing it a couple of months ago as no-one really was after Sid and I thought it was a shame another regular thread was dropping off

Honestly you have no idea about the forum and why most posters do what they do, none of it is to do with what you try and assert it is, what you’re doing is projecting the reasons you would do it onto others which tells its own story

For those who want to have a moan, you are free to do it here, football is about opinions, we might not always like or agree with each others, but as grown ups we’ve long respected each others right to have and voice them

When this site was staffed by mods they actively fought for people’s right to their opinion when there was the occasional pile on or cyber stalking following of anyone across every thread

Also you’re quite wrong about attention, interaction is what I’m after, wanting to hear other people’s views as it always used to be

Well I did say: ]For those who want to have a moan, you are free to do it here, football is about opinions, we might not always like or agree with each others, but as grown ups we’ve long respected each others right to have and voice them

I did mean about the football, we never used to have this personal abuse on here that was what you found on Kraptalk and other kiddie forums thry thought it cool to swear and be abusive
