What was it Einstein said? “There will come a time when the rich and powerful control all forms of communication and the common man will not be able to make an informed decision”
He was talking about his time and it’s got far far worse, the shite our media have had the common man vote for and elect
There’s still the denial Brexit was a disaster too, it was the thing that massively increased non EU migration for 2 reasons
Non EU migration was already the biggest issue and deliberately pissing off all of Europe was going to let them travel freely to France
The millions of non settling EU migrants our economy relied on were always going to be replaced by the Tories with legal non EU workers many of them bringing families when only one works
Most ppl don’t get this, but having lived in London for 14 years I noted that a lot of EU ppl except the Polish, came over to work hospitality while studying or just to live in London for 2-4 years, every 2- 4 years they left and new ones came I know as I frequented bars and pub clubs and restaurant cafes when food was relatively cheap still and when a staff member I’d got to know was no longer there and I asked, they’d gone back home
Watching "Dirty Business" on Channel 4 Catch up.
Just shows how corrupt this country has become.
All about the money.
We were fucked from when we abandoned the European model in the 80’s and adopted the US one
The trick now is to not make it even worse by electing the people who want to privatise our NHS & every single other service, hike their own wages and prices to hand billions more of our taxes to shareholders and corporations
If you watch The Wire Season 4 that gives you a realistic glimpse of just how much worse and how much poorer our poorest towns and regions will become if they follow the path they currently seem set to
The UK is being colonised, the working classes and a huge chunk of the middle classes have been colonised Rip Off Britain as it is now tragically resembles the old empire, except we’re one of the countries other ones have made an effective alave colonies and are taking all the money out of
It always bemuses me to see so many British people wanting the Empire days back or eulogizing them.
Pre welfare state and nhs this country was fucking miserable for anyone who wasn't wealthy. The ragged trousered philanthropists book portrays that misery perfectly. The post WW2 Britain generation benefitted from housing, jobs and the NHS in it's pomp yet they are often the ones you'll find harking about the the empire etc. There's never been a generation that have had so much social improvement as that, they demanded it after the war and they got it and a lot of it was funded by wealth tax and loans from the US. That's what needs to happen again in terms of social improvements.
The education system is teetering on collapse and needs way more funding. If a country isn't prepared to fund it's children and education what chance does it have for a future?
University fees should be scrapped, they never will be but they should be. Going to uni shouldn't be a financial choice.
Aye Tees university fees are another example of privatisation coining it off something that should be a right
People don’t understand that if thry vote for the wrong party they will be voting themselves much poorer as one of them wants to open everything up to private business to rinse every single penny they can out of British workers

Channel 4 has installed a water fountain on the south bank, to highlight the series.
Shame it's only there for a few days. If it was there permanently it might galvanise the British public into actually doing something about the way the majority of the population is treated by the corrupt soles who think they can do what they want and get away with it.
UK needs a civil war or a revolution.
Yep. Fucking disgusting and the water industry is one of the best examples of how privatisation doesn't work for anyone but shareholders.
It does not and never will benefit the public.
The amount of billions they have siphoned off is legalized corruption on the grandest scale and the cheeky cunts have the audacity to increase our bills to pay the billions required to update the system that should have maintained all along.
Decades of profiteering and laughing all the way to the bank.
The UK govt knew all this though, that was the plan. Get rich off the public. Anybody with any sense knows there should be caveats in place to ensure profits come after the system is kept running and invested in. All of our water companies aside from Scottish water are foreign owned.
Corruption in govt is as old as time itself, it's just now they don't even try to hide it anymore.
