That's what I was wondering. The PL also still has teams in the other two European competitions. I'm not absolutely sure, but I think most, if not all of the PL teams would have to get knocked out this round or perhaps the next round for there to be a chance that the PL doesn't get that fifth extra place in next season's CL.
