I just feel like Slot deserves a bit more time..... this is far from a normal season for many reasons.

Let's get some pace in the team & Isak back, and if we still keep playing like how we are then times up.

Noone could suddenly change that right now in my opinion, unless playing a 17 year old every game.

I love salah and respect what he's done, but obviously his heart is not in it, it's far just from a drop off in form- come on he's not suddenly become a league one player so suddenly and that fat he can't run much, more to it, it's effecting the team the play, and everything. & Slot deserves some time to sort the issues in the team in the summer.

We're not the mancs we don't sack the manager every 5 minutes, not one that's won the league his first season also, don't care what people say klopps team blablbla a lot of pundits and fans alike was thinking we'd end up suddenly 5th after he left, like this season, lets not forget his changes made salah have the most productive season, did he not? grav was a beast... etc but yeah lets forget about a manager that's won us the 2nd title in over 30 years.... what a gimp get rid.

Get one or 2 players, the right ones and It'll make a world of difference, Wirtz with Isak/hugo a top direct wide player- I think we'll be ok.

I find it so sad, some fans didn't even see us win the league after the wait before Klopp won it, now it's like last season didn't matter and no big deal because we win it every year, really lads? - A lot of people dreamed of us winning it again and didn't see it happen before they passed, same with young fans etc etc, you spoilt brats.

Think we need a new midfielder too hopefully a boss no6, because a few players seem to have the Klopp burnout effect and no that's not a dig on Klopp but he did run down the players with the style, which so many want back.. no thanks... especially now when tactics have changed, we'd get hit on the counter and concede 3-4 a week.

Some of you lot make a mockery out of us winning the fucking league just because it was slot's first season not Klopp- act like spoilt brats and we win it every season ffs, some people even young fans didn't make it to watch Klopp win it with us during Covid times too, not to mention the older boys that was waiting for 30 years or whatever.... and never got to see us win it again.

The biggest issue I have right now is that it doesn't even look like there's any progression in our play.
We've played the same way all season and look like we are going nowhere.
Slot knew at the start of this season what he wanted, he got those players so I'm not sure he's suddenly going to go and ask for DM or some pacey wide players.
The opportunity was there in the summer and he didn't go down that route.
The way he's wanted to play has simply not worked, we have been vulnerable at the back all season,wide open in midfield all season and lacked creative guile all season.
It's a big ask to fix those three massive issues.

I understand that (I do think there has been times we've looked actually good to watch, rarely mind you)

However think he deserves another chance in the summer to address it, a team with isak, no salah and gakpo...... would probably make us a lot better to watch for starters, they're the 2 that slow down any sort of attack, compare that to diaz, and salah of old..... you wonder why it's turgid? Maca needs a few months off by the looks of it probably not the only one in midfield, so that's not helping the midfield, a no6 is needed really, not sure what's going on at the back but 2 new players doesn't help it, koante having his bad games doesn't help the confidence across the back 4 either, VVD is still good but even he can get bullied nowadays, age gets to them all eventually, but it's not exactly slots fault is it? slot made salah have his most productive season last season.... think we'd have seen Leoni a lot more this season personally.

That's why I think he deserves some more time, especially after his first season- he did make small changes that helped and that's obvious to anyone that actually want's to look at the facts/stats instead of "bring back klopp brigade"

Just think we all need to have a open mind about it, it's not been a easy simple season to say the least, in my opinion replace salah get at least one good attacker & isak back fit, no6... we'll look like a rather different team, could do with 2 attackers in fairness but doubt that'll happen, maybe hugo left, isak in the middle and a baller out wide- but lets face it not all going to stay fit all season, we need someone to come in and do a job too, we've got rio for the left, but the right is seriously lacking.

but no DM 2 attacking full backs (when frimpong starts there anyhow)... no asshole in midfield not being mr,nice like they are..... it's pretty obvious we'd be open, then you got the case of wirtz and no DM too... Hughes and co....... fuck knows that's all i can say and what i've said about konate & VVD heck even allison isn't the player he was, still top keeper but I think he'd have saved more last season indeed.

The balance of the team is totally off with the personal we have- no manager will come in right now and do miracles, it's just not going to happen.... the last 3-4 years are to blame for the summer left it far too long to spend money and got ourselves in a really shit situation having to replace half the team ,crazy.

yes of course slot has to take some of the blame, but there's so many more factors involved. the transfer team & fsg have baffled me at times under Klopp, and the last 2 years just bringing in chiesa bit of a joke. (pre-summer)

If nothing changes even with gakpo & salah not in the team every week or at least one of them replaced with a top direct forward and we're still very slow & turgid then of course, I would like him to go & especially if the results stay the same.

Who knows. I don't think that squad can win the league, it's not got enough at the moment.
I do think there's definitely a link between so many players dropping like stone and Slots tactics and way of playing and his motivation.
It's too much of a coincidence for there not to be in my opinion. Right now we seem stuck in a rut that he can't get us out of, we steadied for a bit albeit unconvincingly. There's no plan or organization on the field, Tuesday was just a mess of a game he seemingly had little answer to.

Last season was obviously down to Slots tactics, players having blinding seasons and luck ( which all teams need to win). Everything came together for us last season, you always felt we would score when we needed something. We gained momentum and it carried us through even when it was clear we were running out of steam towards the end.
Its obviously hindsight now but we let too many players go,players who made a difference at key points and brought too many in. It's been too much transition to cope with.

I agree. They have certainly made their fair share of cockups too. It looks to me like they were kids in a sweetshop acting like Brewster's millions. They had too much money to spend. Last summer should have been the cementing of a team that could be a dominant force for the foreseeable future. It looks now to be far from it.
