The biggest issue I have right now is that it doesn't even look like there's any progression in our play.
We've played the same way all season and look like we are going nowhere.
Slot knew at the start of this season what he wanted, he got those players so I'm not sure he's suddenly going to go and ask for DM or some pacey wide players.
The opportunity was there in the summer and he didn't go down that route.
The way he's wanted to play has simply not worked, we have been vulnerable at the back all season,wide open in midfield all season and lacked creative guile all season.
It's a big ask to fix those three massive issues.

I agree completely Tees his idea was to play the Old Dutch way an idea almost every Dutch coach gets when he goes to a bigger club and gets lots of money to spend

He wanted to play and exclusively short passing game with everything going through Wirtz and didn’t invest in wide forwards as he intended to play through the centre of the low blocks he continually complains about

If he thinks Kerkez and Frimpong are going to provide better service than Mane Robbo and Gini and Mo Trent and Hendo in combination he truly has lost the plot

Come the summer we should get a 433 or 4321 manager who knows how to set a press and plays attractive direct attacking football these players won’t have been too long out of it to get it back then

Sign 2 top quality wide forwards and we’re in business again He has to go for me FSG need to wake up and realise all those partnerships and sponsors came because we played exciting attacking football that was the most watched, they’re not going to keep paying for Slot’s garbage

I agree. They have certainly made their fair share of cockups too. It looks to me like they were kids in a sweetshop acting like Brewster's millions. They had too much money to spend. Last summer should have been the cementing of a team that could be a dominant force for the foreseeable future. It looks now to be far from it.

Yep city acted quickly in January 2 good players they knew it was a good time to strike & still might not be enough but at least they've tried.

we could've signed a gem in rayan but we didn't - and we can't afford to match the others around us, I doubt summer will be a common thing, that's what we've always done though, find gems normally- but this doesn't always work out but something has to change, we can't outspend the others.

Look at arsenal, they've built the squad slowly by getting what they've needed the last few seasons and now look where they are, they've not fucked around playing x y z at right back etc and leaving things to chance and pretend injury's don't happen (especially when we've got a few players that spent most of the season out) & they've got the depth now i'm expecting a big name to come in and play on the left for them next season, but that's how depth is so important to me arsnal don't have the star -factor Rice is great, saka is good but even he has not had a great season, but they have the depth and all good as a collective. not counting on kids or washed up players to fill in.

I'm worried about arsenal going forward, they've got some great youth and a great age-profile for years to come, they'll sign a star or 2 in the near future for sure and have the depth, they've got it right transfer-wise for last few years or so and now it's showing, the fact they could sub off saka last night and bring madueke on says it all...... and he made a difference.

Plenty of examples, briggs as a set piece coach too, not sure who's to blame for that?.... but questions need to be asked

we knew players was getting old, we knew trent was leaving, we knew some players wanted to leave, and some have been average for a while and needed to go- but instead of doing anything about it we leave it...... and leave it then yeah as i've said summer happens, I mean says it all previously when we only signed Chiesa because we could get him on the cheap, now we know why at least, but we should've started acting then, we've been sucessful making plenty of money, revenue up..... no reason for us to leave it so long for everything, now we've changed half the team with still work to be done, it's really really poor planning.

FSG spent 250m NET on a team that won the league. I find it difficult to place any blame on them. I also thought the money was well spent, so find it hard to blame anyone behind the scenes. The reality is that our big players from last season haven't turned up this season. Coupled with long term injuries and our season has really been disrupted from the start.

Kev is spot on. A league winning manager deserves the chance to turn things around. The current yapping looking him out is disrespectful.

Only reason I disagree with the FSG bit yes they spent money, but we've been too slack in the market for far to long hence needing to make too many changes, even now work needs to be done on the squad.

All a bit rushed in the summer in my opinion and not replacing diaz and watching gakpo every week, not fsg's fault that salah turned into a league one player though.

hopefully they'll finish the job off in the summer and act quicker if we lack in a area and it's obvious, still think not bringing anyone in, in january might cost us bigtime, even rayan would've been good.

but that's the point i'm trying to make no way is it all down to slot, it's down to everyone at the club, yes even FSG to a extent.

We needed LFWD or to give Diaz his pay rise RFWD 1 No9 2 full backs

WE’re short as we bought players to play a completely different system that’s completely unproven

Slot, Hughes, and Edwards should all be sacked. The only thing that might give Slot more time in the eyes of the fans is if he wins the CL, something that currently looks quite unlikely. If we do somehow manage to win the CL it will be down to the players and despite anything Slot will have done, not because of it.
