Massive clear out needed.

I genuinely don't believe we need a huge clear-out.

There's a couple of lads we can get off the books to spread our wage usage a bit better and we can sign a few players to better balance the squad, but I sincerely don't think we need to do a bunch of "get rid" at the moment.

Two wide forwards, a 6 and a CB are absolutely essential to come in.

We have no pace at all apart from Frimpong. And even less of a physical presence.

We started the game on Sunday with MacAllister, Frimpong, Wirtz and Rio.

Nearly half of the outfield players under 5ft 9 in the most physical league in Europe, possibly the world, with set pieces trending every game.

That also needs addressing in future windows

I’d retain Gakpo for the squad, let Salah go to Saudi and bring two in.

MacAllister could leave and I’d look at Anderson and Adam Wharton.

As for the CB situation, if Konate signs we might just replace Joe Gomez, though who with, I have no idea.

I would seriously go to Bayern and ask about a swap for Olise and Wirtz.

Olise is very unlikely to come here, even more so if Bayern Munich win the CL, whilst I can't see Wirtz being dispensed with after just one season at the club under a manager who is sucking the life out of our players.

Virgil’s still the best CB in the league

IMO Virgil is no longer the best centre back in the league. He’s consistently making the wrong decisions along with everyone else, he’s now a leader of panic and not calm He doesn’t deserve his ridiculous wages just on the basis he’s available every game.
Pacho looked a very good player in Germany, definitely a great signing for nothing.
