My viewpoint is Sid, City have cheated their way to their current position and EVERYONE knows it so what does it matter what they win??

Every single trophy under the current ownership has an asterisk *.

But I don’t want Arsenal looking too good, we’re going to find it hard enough to attract players as it is.

There are "rumours" Man-city will be deducted 60 points next season.. so if they win the title that will be it for them after that.
Like Steveo said. Theres something about Lego Head i can't stand. And I hate Martinelli with a passion. He falls over under any contact and had the nerve to literally drag Bradley off the pitch when Bradley had a serious injury.

Respect that viewpoint miller - it's shared by many - I just happen to "agree to disagree" on it as Man City's influence on football has had massive ramifications not just on those who missed out on League titles to them, but those sides that missed out on European spots, foreign sides that got knocked out by them in the Champion's League (impacting revenues and ability to compete etc) and those that lost out on Domestic Cup opportunities or lost players etc etc - the "ripple effect" caused by a club like that is absolutely massive and has all stemmed from cheating.

So for me it's "entity that have arguably caused massive damage to the entire sport that could negatively impact it for decades" versus "that Arteta lad is a bit of a twat isn't he?" - and as much as I can't stand the sight of aul' Captain Black, I'll begrudgingly accept their lot winning a title versus someone like Man City.

Their titles may have an asterisk on them, but that doesn't mean the runners-up in those years are perceived as winners, nor does it help those sides with recruitment when they're denied the chance to hold that recruitment appeal of being a club that players can join to become League Champions - or indeed the financial benefits that aid the practical side of the recruitment.

It matters what they win because others are consistently denied. We should, by all rights, be sitting on 22 League titles by now - and Klopp should have 3 of them to his name.

We have different stances on it and I don't think you'll change my mind, nor I change yours - absolutely fine. It might be one of those things I struggle to shut up on periodically as I struggle to "let it go" on a meritocratic front - we were robbed of titles, others were robbed of some of the other things I've mentioned - is what it is. Hopefully genuine punishments will come eventually and I will reiterate that my occasional info-dump rants on the Man City subject are never "aimed" directly at you or anyone else who holds them, it's just one of those things that I get a bit ".......really?" about in life - and that's on me, absolutely on me - genuinely no desire to change your mind.

Some subjects make people shout at the wind about them and Man City getting to where they are having impacted football in the way they have happens to have been one of mine for a while. I can't help it - I'll try to work on being quieter about it on here mind, as I appreciate it's repetitive.

As to Arsenal, I guess my take is they always had the London pull, were better than us for many of the years I've been a fan (yet we still had plenty of excellent players to watch) so for me them winning a League won't make THAT much difference to our recruitment as they can only register a 25-man squad anyway. I can't see them winning a League making life much worse than Man City stealing their various titles, being able to throw Ł300k contracts at people due to sponsors that don't exist, or Chelsea signing lads up to 8-year deals. There will always be lads wanting to join Liverpool, even if some of them are just doing so for a couple of years before joining Real Madrid.

But I could be wrong. One thing I do know is that Arsenal, whilst admittedly a pain in the ass at times, are overall pretty "legit" and thus I can begrudgingly live with them in a way that I can't when it comes to an entity like Man City.

But like I said, I'll try and shush a bit more on the subject for the rest of the season.

Fair enough Sid, never going to fall out with you for taking a different perspective on something.

Fantastic game going on between West Ham and Leeds.
Leeds lead 2-0 going into injury time but West Ham clawed their way back into it to level it with goals on 93 and 96 minutes.

It has been breathless with 20 attempts at goal each with 15 minutes of extra time left and the teams still level at 2-2.

Incredible energy levels from both teams much more than we have shown in any game this season and these two are in a relegation battle

what really fucks me off about Man-city is they still spend like theres no tomorrow. Their arrogance is that, they'll never be punished. Cause they are bigger than football itself. I can understand our club not wanting to pay for Guehi. since he had only a few months left and got a huge whack of 300 grand a week.. The same man who promised to sign for us. Having done a medical and was moments from joining our club.

Not someone i want here personally. He will suit that shit hole of a club..We made a huge mistake on Semenyo though. could have gotten him for way less than Wirzt in the summer.

Imagine laying down 125 charges 3 years and 2 months ago. and still no outcome. I get the feeling If Man-city win the league.. They'll accept the "reduced" charges, Otherwise be no end in sight. Saying that. They are so up themselves..I doubt they'll ever admit to wrong doing
