I think the only way FSG fire him is if we miss out on qualifying for next season's CL. I think that they'll likely see this season as a blip and hope to get back on track next season.

I think there will be reasonably heavy investment again in the summer.

Which will be wasted by Slot and he'll be gone in October.

I had thought we would have sacked slot in the international break but now think it would have thrown caretaker/new manager in at the very deep end away to city and 2 legs against psg.
Sorry i expect the tie to be over for us tomorrow night and slot to be gone before fulham.

I sincerely hope you are right but doubt it will happen.

I'm obviously not in the professional position to comment, but from a would-be caretaker's side I would be all over a scenario like that.

If results continue to be poor, it isn't perceived to be your fault. If results pick up, you're perceived to have had a positive influence.

Feels like a "no lose" situation to me. Whereas with something like the Spurs job, the perceived player quality is that they absolutely should not be near the relegation zone, which feels much less of a "no lose" situation. A manager could ruin their reputation there.

While i see your point we need someone to lift the players and fans and new manager would be under preasure from the off getting knocked out if fa cup and CL in his first 2 games.

There is absolutely zero evidence of any sort of top level coaching going on at Liverpool never mind the motivational side.

And I can no longer listen to Slot’s embarrassing inane ramblings in press conferences
Haven't listened to him for months. The talking is on the pitch and that's telling us everything. Since he started telling us he couldn't beat low-block teams early in the season, I switched off.

Wind of change, since end of 24/25 season we have moved on/lost kelleher, tsimikas, quansah, arnold, elliot, diaz, jota, nunez and could be adding robbo, gomez, macalistair, gapko, salah, likely over 13 players in a 12 month period.

I very much doubt he'll be gone before the end of the season. He did win the title last season so there's that. The fact that it's been appalling most of this might not seal the deal for the owners. They might be considering mitigating factors. We don't know how they're viewing it. I think qualifying for CL will be the crunch. I just hope they will still see longer term that Slot is not the answer even if we get CL for next year.

Just a note on Arne’s Title win, not belittling it, more bringing some perspective.

Klopp with numerous injuries, an average Salah and having told everyone he was leaving back in October
    Points 82
    Goals for 84
    Goals against 41

Slot, new manager with an absolutely on fire Mo Salah and few injuries
    Points 84
    Goals for 84
    Goals against 41

    Not exactly a massive upturn.

But yeah he won the league. So he deserves a few years and a Łbillion or two to completely ruin the squad.
