Last season - the expectation across the board was that we would slide. Zero pressure. No signings also added to this. A free hit with another man’s team - a very special man's team...at Liverpool FC…? Won’t ever happen again. Not after a rebuild by a genius like Klopp. Teams came to play us without that fear of the connection between Klopp the fans and the players.

Whereas Klopp’s announcement handicapped his last season almost as much as the pile up of injuries did. The constant talk across the media of his impending departure a huge distraction for the players. He also had to integrate 4 new senior Midfielders due to a lack of backing years prior.

But the back end of last season was there for all to see. Before the tragic loss of Jota - and we looked like the transformation to come was more than on the horizon

"Values and behaviours" ....pretty big words for Stevie and they are almost the right ones ...but you get what he is alluding to...which is that before the wane....at the back end of last season.. much of what had driven the title win was 100% of Klopp's Squad....and - being kind to Arne - about 70% of Klopp's coaching, conditioning and mentality education.

What is astounding is the time it has taken for it to finally start to dawn - on the "experts".

Good video from the Anfield wrap guys which highlights another reason we've gone to shit. The disconnect between the players, manager and the City and fans.
I really am worried about Slot getting another season, it just seems like it's the wrong fit all round and needs to be ended.

Still rankles with me, the fact that Jurgen left the way he did.
PGMOL, and lack of financial backing from FSG, is my take on it.

Like quite a lot of TAW content, don’t agree with everything but they do have good well thought out discussions

Agree. It's usually quite one sided but occasionally they do get some differing viewpoints.
I hadn't realized that Szoboslai has been baiting the crowd a little, he is as they say "tone deaf" in that respect. The stuff about him being a bit flash doesn't particularly bother me that much, I jus think that's footballers full stop now. They live in an alternate realm that's completely detached from reality. It's just another aspect of how the gap between players/the game in general and fans is widening.

Didn't know that Hugo had swapped shirts with Cherki. Personally I think that's just a bit of naievety but also highlights the point they make saying who's at the club guiding these young lads about the fact we just don't do that after getting walloped 4-0 off your rivals.

I do also agree with their point that the players have his. Despite Slot not being up to it they have also played their part. It's obviously been talked about on here but they go into a little more depth on it.
