If Slot does remain in charge,,Means be hardly any signings.. Why would you give a huge wad of cash to a manager that's only got under a year left ?
And if i was Dom, i'd be considering my future, we need to be showing signs of going in the right direction. Not backwards. or sideways
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century
Worrying. Ties in with what Steveo was saying yesterday. Basically Arsenal from a few years back, skim the cream off the top by just meandering around the CL places.
One year left is pretty much saying to him, you have to earn your extension, any manager worth his salt would tell them to do one.
I doubt Slot would do that personally. Hes at one of the biggest clubs in the world. He may never get another shot at a club of this standard.
No one has any idea whats going to happen. Least of all the likes of Edwards and Hughes. They just playing it by ear.If you ask me
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century
Going back to Slot. I think most would agree, Glasner has been tactically better than him over the past few games.
I wonder if Slot will be able to do something for Saturday's game differently to help us overcome Palace.
One thing is for sure, The Palace manager will have his team fired up for the match

I'm still hoping that the past few weeks have just been the "dreaded vote of confidence" and that Slot will still leave in the summer. It's unlikely that the top brass would leak that they're getting rid of him. If they do keep him for next season:
1. He'll be a lame duck as the players know he's only got that season
2. We're less likely to attract any top players (if we have any budget left) as who would want to play for us right now
3. Players we have will be questioning why they're here. Dom, Wirtz, Isak, Ekitike, Grav, Frimpong. All these players are a big part of our side now and will be wondering what direction the club is taking.
4. Fans will have about as much interest in the new season as in watching Everton vs Spurs
From the moment I picked your book up until I laid it down, I convulsed with laughter. Someday I intend on reading it. Groucho Marx
It's the hope that kills you
We have to remember that Klopp wasn't just a manager ... he was a political shield for FSG. He was the one who convinced world-class players to stay for lower wages than they’d get at City or PSG - he turned relative budget signings like Robertson and Wijnaldum into genuine superstars. The current crisis is that Slot ... 'H'edwards' (Hughes and Edwards) are trying to run the club like a cold ... data-driven corporation. But we know that football isn't just data - without Klopp's charisma to paper over the fact that FSG won't spend their own money ... the buy-to-let nature of their ownership is fully exposed.
Is this positioning for a sale? In a way ... yes - even if there isn't a literal for sale sign in the window. By clearing out high-wage veterans like Salah and Robertson and replacing them with younger players who have high resale value ... they are simply re-optimising their balance sheet. For an investor ... a club with low debt - a young squad on long contracts - and a modernised stadium (just the 2 stands we paid for) is the perfect asset.
For a fan ... genuine ones at least and not bedroom dwellers who never go to games... Liverpool FC now starts to look like a club that has traded its competitive soul for a healthy yield.
Amazing weekend, most LFC fans out celebrating the 1st of many epic wins at the Dickinson,
Then a good jolly laugh at the gooners.
Tough weekend for the fam down souf![]()
Oh right …the cup final..?![]()
Stick to the Dickinson highlights on your laptop - because you clearly haven't got a clue about the M6 or the reality of what's happening at Anfield ... you're so busy being an FSG apologist that you've started seeing "Gooners" everywhere just to avoid talking about the fact that we're being run like a cold - corporate asset flip.
It’s easy to be a "happy clapper" from a bedroom in Ireland where the only thing you’ve ever "leveraged" is your TV remote ... actually - your mouse, you probably don’t even pay to view… but some of us actually put the miles in and see the "buy-to-let" model for what it is.
Keep polishing John Henry’s boots from across the water - the rest of us are interested in the club’s soul - not its spreadsheet.
