Yep - and in the same situation again were we to go back to that point in time - looking at both squads I would again say Arsenal are more likely than us to win it - because they were a better and deeper squad imo. Huge raft of injuries to key players totally derailed their season - but far less so than ours this season.

You see Henry’s GIMP….it’s so easy to simply say what you see. For instance I would say our best squad was that of 2019 - that took 97 points. Stronger than the one that took 99 points and the title.

But also as a liverpool fan I can accept when it is not the best squad in town and last season we certainly were not. Not even the second best. We took 84 points and I believe we massively over achieved - went under the radar, no expectation… suffered almost zero injuries to key players and a squad showing their rock solid mentality and making good on their promise to Klopp. Getting the reward that Klopp 2.0 was more than deserving of. But Arsenal took more points the season before - a tougher season too - and came second with a weaker squad that the one we beat to the title last season .

So many things in the sport can be true just as in life…

Just as it is clear as crystal that you are a hopeless shill. Someone who is clearly not worth talking to about about this club. A club you refuse to spend a cent of your own on - be that going to a game or watching in your “sorded little grief hole”..

The gap between Liverpool and Arsenal predated any injury crisis.
This has been shown to you several times.
I guess any excuse for the fam will do.

In Janaury you said if we didnt sign anyone Arsenal would win the league.

Then when Arsenal couldn't win the league you turned on Slot.

As said it was all fine, shit talking Klopp with his lesser form of football when you didnt think Slot would win the league. But once Slot won the league you were seething. Great times to be a red.

And yes the derby is like a cup final, and most reds were fucking buzzing after that last minute winner.

Then arsenal lost and you were miserable

Only a hopeless shill - trying to deflect his obvious intentions - would try to push the narrative that I’m an Arsenal fan just because I can see a squad's depth without needing a pair of FSG-branded blinkers on ... I’m one of the most passionate Liverpool fans you’ll find anywhere - a fanatical devotee to the club and the City - and I’ve stood on the Kop enough times to see local dockers look in sheer disbelief at a lad with a southern accent who knows the history better than they do.

I lament the lack of vision from this pathetic ownership because I actually care about the club's ceiling - while you’re happy to sit in your "sordid little grief hole" in Ireland supporting the balance sheet ... you’re Henry’s Gimp - plain and simple.

You wouldn't know what a "miserable" Red looks like because you aren't one - you’re a consumer who won’t spend a cent of your own cash to go to a game or even pay for a proper TV sub.

The claim that I "shit talked" Klopp is the biggest load of rubbish you’ve ever posted - and that’s saying something for a man who lives on a diet of John Henry’s scraps ... I have been one of Klopp’s most vocal and consistent supporters since the day he walked in - because I recognised the magician-like ability he had to get 110% out of a squad that the owners refused to refresh.

Klopp didn't get the highest level of technical football either - brilliant to watch and tough to beat - he played a relentless - heavy metal game that made us a success despite the penny-pinching owners you spend your life defending ... the only reason we suffered "boom and bust" cycles is because the squad was too small and run into the ground by a "buy-to-let" landlord who wouldn't give the manager the tools he needed to stay at the top.

You’re trying to rewrite history to suit your "Top Red" narrative - but it’s easy to talk trash - I’ve been in the ground and watched that man perform miracles while you were sat in your Ireland grief hole watching a dodgy stream and checking the club's valuation ... you’re a shill who supports the bank balance over the club - and deep down you know that without Klopp masking the rot - your precious FSG would have been exposed years ago.

Keep your fake Arse-obsession and your spreadsheet trophies - I’m a fanatical Red who actually puts the miles in.

Save this thread and the forum and disconnect...

    You're an idiot.

You've tried to make out Klopp was hoodwinked by the club as net spending reduced on his arrival.
Hoodwinked, overtaken by arteta and a less complete form of the game than Slot.

Reality shows that was Klopp and he brought huge success on a net spend that was 15th in the league from 16/17 to 19/20.
A miracle worker because of your G.Nev takes on football.

Keep paying for sport behind a pay wall, not only do you have G.Nev takes on football but you proudly boast about paying subs to sly/bt/tnt.

As said you are a man with no integrity, no substance.

Calling me an idiot because you can’t handle the truth about your "buy-to-let" idols is the classic sign of a shill who’s lost the argument yet again.

I never said Klopp was "hoodwinked" on the finances either - I said he was a political shield who performed miracles despite the board’s penny-pinching. He was a man who stayed loyal while the owners used his brilliance to mask the fact they weren't refreshing the squad- or do you honestly think he just got "a little tired" of life at the top?

You’re sat there bragging about not paying for the sport - watching on your dodgy - grainy streams in a grief hole in Ireland - and you think that gives you more "integrity" than the fans who actually put their money into the club? You aren’t a supporter - you’re a parasite... bragging about not spending a cent while the "fam down souf" and the locals in the City pay the gate receipts and the TV subs that keep the club afloat.

As for the G.Nev takes … yet more deflection - I’d rather have a tactical opinion based on standing on the Kop than your spreadsheet - happy-clapper routine.

You’re so obsessed with "net spend" rankings that you’ve forgotten the point of the game and this club is to stay at the top… not to be "efficient" for the sake of John Henry’s bank balance. You’ve got no soul - no connection to the City - and your only "substance" is whatever data-feed FSG has fed you this week.

What is your actual reason for infesting this forum? Are you just chasing rage-clicks like the Jokestrap persona? Why do you post about a club whose team you’ve never seen as if you were 9 years old and didn't have the resources to get there? What is your actual connection to the club or the City? Because it seems to me that the bank accounts in Boston are your real spiritual home.

I should have known better than to engage with a joke who starts a match thread when one already exists and continues to comment… to himself about 10 minutes behind live - because he is at odds with that which he religiously defends. What an absolute whopper..
