As you say we've transitioned into whatever the holy fuck it is he's trying to do this season. But it isn't what we were playing last season and neither were we just continuing with Kloppball.

We ran out of steam last season due to Slot not willing to give the backup players a run out, despite Klopp using a lot of them to great effect by giving us a title challenge and a cup.

Slot isn't what we hoped he was, but it wasnt the ghost of Klopp that won the title last season. Both can be true.
I watch plenty pitch-side across both seasons .. and saw enough games to know what I am talking about.

Jozza... you’re reaching... there was no tactical revolution - just a conservative recalibration. You admit he refused to use the squad... which is exactly why the intensity waned as the season went on. He didn't build a new engine or re configure the old one - he just stopped red-lining the one Klopp left him. It worked in a season with no rivals in sight - no expectation at all and almost no injuries - all for 2 extra points.

Even the stats show we still scored the vast majority of our goals in the 15-second 'Klopp transition' window. Aside from the fact that Trent was asked to focus on being a more traditional full-back.. it was Klopp's team running on Klopp's muscle memory. Most of us know this.. People can contrive whatever they like and spin things as they wish but it doesn't change the facts.

All falling into place with them. City having to play 4 games in 11 days shortly. Something they never had to do in the seasons we finished a point behind in the title race.

    Two "soft" penalties given tonight.
1-1 so may be advantage Arsenal next week. I'm looking forward to both games - as long as Arsenal don't get through to the final.
