A shame when you consider how awesome he was last season.

Absolute shadow of himself and if someone wants him for a reasonable fee so we can reinvest I'd be all over it.
I'd genuinely like to see him under another manager. I feel that way about some of the others, if Virgil leaves this summer it'll be really sad. I don't want him to go out this way and would like to see his final season under a manager who inspires confidence, has a team playing with identity and obviously like you've mentioned fitness) athleticism. All the things that fuckwitt has vacuumed from our club.

He can bemoan injuries all he wants but the bottom line is it's an unacceptable return for what he had and what he's got. That squad should be doing way better than 12 defeats and 7 wins since the turn of the year.
That's not a bad squad he has, the issue is he's so arrogant to think his way of playing will work. Everyone can see the failings yet he's not done a single thing to alter it, he's not going to change it for next season either.
Another game tonight where we've been outworked massively. These stats won't change with better players because he's got good players now, It's his system and his methods that are failing.

More important than which players leave is the manager leaving

Just watched YnwA reds and David Lynchs videos on YouTube. Some absolutely damning stats. Slot has lost every single game he's gone in losing at half time. 1 point from 29 against the top 9 this season.
Alex on YNWA reds makes particular points about Gakpo's pure shithousery and calls him a total coward of a player. Totally agree.
Also talks about his absolutely ridiculous bullshit he chats after every game, trying to convince people with things like "scoring in the 91st minute is proof we didn't give up"
I mean wtaf. It's genuinely like he's taking the piss.

The stats that Slot is racking up are absolutely incredible, no manager in history has ever turned around a shit show like this at a top club and like a couple have said already if FSG keep him in charge it's negligence.

It was negligence when they chose not to get rid back in November when some of us were saying they should make the change and we were called overly reactionary and impatient.

It would still be negligence if they even got rid of him now, as it would still be 5 months later than they should have acted and a tacit admission that they've thrown away a whole season (potentially 2, if we lose that last CL spot on the last day, even with an interim manager on the sidelines), because they were too proud, too stupid and too complacent to act when urgency was needed.

The Mancs acted, (After wasting the better part of 3 seasons+ playing this "wait-and-see" game with previous managers who they should have fired), and not only pipped us for that third spot, but now look like they're on a footing to get back to their competitive selves.

Meanwhile, we can't seem to be able to learn from our own mistakes, let alone theirs.

Whatever they end up doing (...and when), it's still going to be negligence either way.
You don't need to waste the better part of almost half a year watching mediocrity to know you've fucked up, and I don't know why we're pretending like any of this should be normal or acceptable.

And enough of that "Liverpool are not a sacking club" bullshite.
It was bollocks the first time anyone uttered it and still isn't true today no matter how many former players (on the take) keep spouting it out to the press.

We've sacked 5 of our last 7 managers not named "Jurgen Klopp" or "Roy Evans" in the last 30 years.
6 if you go as far back as Sounness.
And that includes the club's greatest living legend (during his second stint).

So what are we even doing here pretending like Slot is untouchable?
    Fuck this shit.

The above is a superb post.

I would add that Slot only appears
"untouchable" because he serves as a convenient lightning rod. His struggles on the pitch completely mask and distract from the institutional rot in the senior roles behind him. Specifically:

•FSG CEO of Football: Michael Edwards
    • LFC Director of Football: Richard
    Hughes

    The terrible duo-AKA 'H'edwards.'
This boardroom incompetence, combined with a total dereliction of duty from our AWOL owners, is the real reason behind Slot's keir Starmer-levels of total immunity.

There are several well thought out heartfelt posts on here today that underline why I will be sad to lose this Forum when it finally grinds to a halt.

After a few glasses of Jura last evening I prayed to the football Gods that JW finally grew a pair, cleared out Slot, Hughes & Edwards and begged Jurgen to come back, with £250m plus player sales to sort this shit out.

Gakpo and MacAllister first out the door, new contracts for Szoboszlai and Jones.

Why do people keep saying that? Rodgers almost won the title because he had Suarez????????Klop only won it once with, Salah, VVD, Allison, Hendo...and othergreat players......Seeing how hard it was for Klopp with a way better squad i tbink its about time we let go the whole "but he had Suarez" thing..
Yes he was a bjt of a dick but i loved the football and i'd take him over Slot any day!

All fair enough but the point on Suarez stands. Luis completely changed our season. Anyone who was there knows this. The man almost won it by himself. And yes we have conceded more this season playing dire football

I'd say Rodgers lost us the title.. with the fact the purchases he made in defensive areas were in hindsight absolute crap
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century
