Well I did say most would probably not take him seriously, just putting it out there.

I haven’t known him say something as if fact turn out to be total bollox before though. He went early with us bringing in Wirtz and Isak coming in for example and both were true

    We’ll see tho.

The thing is to me, is the comments from Slot of a new start and all that. why should a team be motivated when their manager only has 9 months left on his contract at the start of the season? Its an excuse to down tools and its something the players seem to be well capable of doing. Considering the lack of effort in the last several months.
Its a right cock up and the likes of Hughes and Edwards should be ashamed of their input into the demise of our club right now

I’m almost as concerned about Hughes overseeing our summer window then immediately leaving for Saudi.

Yep,they seem to have more control than the owners. You can understand why Jurgen had issues with them

We seem to have the opposite (good) problem that most clubs in this scenario, where our owners are hands-off when it comes to the football side in the running of the club and defer heavily to the director of football and the "football people" (i.e. Edwards and Hughes) giving them great deference and leeway.

I say opposite (and good) because most clubs deal with the meddling owners that don't know nowt about the game but want to dip their grabby hands in everything, and it would nominally be a "good" problem to have, where our owners are not that.....except in this situation.

Where the Football people are clearly incompetent and screwing things up big time.

I've come to hate both Hughes and Edwards as much as I hate Slot - more even, because I now realize that Slot is just a symptom of their incompetence.
And I now totally get why Klopp chose retirement rather than working under them again.

Klopp had an issue (or issues) with them.
And now you hear Mo also voicing concerns about the direction of the club.

You'd hope that someone higher up is at least listening and is able to do something, but sadly even most former players who hear speaking up, it usually in defense of the regime, or doing the usual excuse-making gaslighting that makes people think they're on the take.

Only the few here and there like Jermain Penant, who's very vocally open against what Slot is doing to this club and very openly states that a change is needed. Stevie (G) I feel tends to measure his words too much for my liking (probably because he was trying to not ruing his chances at a future managerial chance), but even with him occasionally you'll hear the frustration the rest of us are feeling, when it slips out after losses.

Yeah, Penant is the only former player now who's take I trust.
The rest of them (the Nicol's, The Carra's, The Barnes', the lot...) can all go do one with their whole "....we need to give Slot another season" nonsense, as far as I'm concerned.

How much more failure and incompetence do we have to be subjected to?

    We'll see soon enough.
I said in one of the videos of his (I think my comment might have been shadow-banned), that I think him and his "source" mate are being used by the club.

He had decried this phenomenon in the past where the club puts out unofficial "press" statements through their sources talking to Media members reporting "leaks" that are clearly just parrotting club talking points that they think will mollify the fans, but are too cowardly to come out and officially take a stand on, or be questioned over.

And yet it never occurred to him the timing that his mate is getting this news and information?
(After yet another embarrassing crumbling defeat that's left fans angry once again at the manner it happened...
Mo's statement, and the fact that it was roundly supported and liked by present and former players.....
    Alonso just being announced as Chelsea manager...;
News coming out that LFC never even talked to him about the managerial position, and instead felt that his style wasn't in line with the style of football they want played at Anfield (how do they know we wasn't willing to adapt if they never talked to him or his people?....It's the Guehi /Semenyo fuck-up all over again))

Suddenly we get a leak just ever so conveniently timed letting us know that the club are in agreement with Mo and that Slot's days are numbered?

    I call bullshite.

If it were true then stand behind it.
Let out an official statement stating that the club have mutually decided to amicably part ways with Slot at the end of the season and that while a replacement hasn't been decided upon, it will be one in keeping with what was expressed in Mo's statement in terms of getting Liverpool back to playing in a style the fans deserve.

That can't be so hard to do? Instead of these snidely "source" leaks through their press insiders (....which.....fuck these guys. Doing the Club's dirty work and PR bidding with fans. All the Lynch's and Pierce's of the press class. Fuck all of them).

Which is why I've always been of the position that Liverpool FC's problems don't end with Slot's departure.
    He was merely a symptom.

It'll be a start to their end, by the departure of them two that kept him in longer than he should have been and will no doubt be wanting credit for finally getting rid of him almost a year later than they should have.
