Here’s one - does anyone actually believe Arne Slot was even involved in the capture of Fede?

As I understand it - It was H’edwards. and rumour has it Richard Hughes led the charge.

The club's data and recruitment team - overseen by FSG CEO of Football, Michael Edwards - identified Chiesa as a massive market opportunity. Because he was in the final year of his contract and out of favor at Juventus, they could pick up a high-profile international for a heavily cut-price fee (around Ł10m–Ł12.5m). Hughes was the one who made the initial direct phone call to Chiesa to pitch the move

Agree. A reflection of what the premier league is now. It's stagnant and boring, it's been shit since Klopp left.
Like Tennis when tennis became sterile with power serving. All the characters left the game and yiu just had robots battering aces constantly. I checked out of tennis when Sampras started to dominate.

I dream of us being able to play that technical game that he was a specialist in...Never really fitted the Heavy Metal mould but had we just ONE other mid capable of playing at that level - we win that quad...

    See PSG for the template.

Just read Slots latest interview. As usual full of waffle and nonsense but he makes a point about City signing two players who h turned the season around fir them.
The two players we should have signed, the two players who wanted to come to Liverpool.

Im well passed the stage of hoping/assuming he could get a tune out of whoever was in his squad. He'd most likely had cherki at RB, guehi would have picked up a career threatening injury and gakpo still get the full 90. A lucky "head coach" will get a player he wants only if the DoF and the analysts agree, unless and until he proves he can put a club in a title race and into cup finals year on year. Then he may get final say on some transfers. Clubs like ours who operate within FFP and have owners who need to draw a dividend are less likely to hand a head coach free rein. Maybe a good thing in Slots case or there be Dutch journeymen everywhere lol

In today's press conference Slot said "my main focus is on now because the game on Sunday could give us a really good base going into next season."

He really is taking the piss. A win at home against Brentford in the last game of a shit season for us, plus a few of our previously key players leaving is going to give us a good base going into next season? Is he for real?

As each week passes he increasingly shows himself to be a self unaware clown who is out of his depth both by the things he says and the football he has us playing. If FSG keep him on they will just further cement their position as a fellow bunch of clowns.
