If it is to be Iraola, I remember his start at Bournemouth was very bad. I think didn't win in the first nine games. It takes time for his ideas and methods to be absorbed, its not an overnight new manager bounce type of thing. But then look what he achieved, both in league position, and style of play, despite continually losing his top players. Amazing really.
hopefully one of new wide attackers can play through the middle, fingers crossed that isak can put injuries behind him.

Regarding the injection of cash, it coincides with the record Premier League and Champions league TV deals, maybe the club thought it was best to strike when the iron was hot? Just as plausable as them shitting the bed and spending £500m.

The squad Slot inherited was the was the reason Jurgen walked early. The fucking state of it !! FsG fault, FsGs squad.
He was all for gassing up Arnes more complete form of football than Klopp when he didnt think Slot would win the league.
Then Slot won the league which poor famboy Steveo did not take well.
Then it was Klopps squad. Which it was at the start of the season, not FSGs squad.

In terms of Klopp his 1st four years, net spending was low.
    €23.34 million per season.

    2nd four years significantly higher.
    €76 million per season.

Slots 2 season a significant increase again.
    €129.2 million per season.

Of course spending needs to be valued, and I've analysed this objectively.

Manager - Period - Net Spend & Market value gained per euro spent.

    Emery Villa 22/23 to 23/34
€125.09 mill net & 151 cent gained per euro.

    Klopp 16/17 to 19/20
€93.35 mill net & 87.4 cent gained per euro.

    Slot 24/25 to 25/26
€258.4 mill net & 82.8 cent gained per euro.

    Klopp 20/21 to 23/24
€303.85 mill net & 59 cent gained per euro.

    Areta 20/21 to 23/24
€531.35 mill net & 54 cent gained per euro.

    Rodgers 12/13 to Post-Summer of 15/16
€173.86 mill net & 2.4 cent gained per euro.
If you just look at raw figures as people tend to do, you get a very basic take away.

BR spent twice as much net as Klopp. And back when revenue was not as great. As you've said CL money is up again with the new format.
And the idea the club panicked when Slot won number 20 is a little dim to put it mildly.

The effect of that spending by BR disastrous.

Klopp 16/17 to 19/20 improved the squads valuation by 81.59 mill.
Br spent twice as much and improved the sqaud by 4.2 mill from spending.

The last post on my original thread. Was this.

It's funny how pulling stats, detailed analysis and long posts has come to be the true terror of modern Britons. Educated fools from uneducated schools.

Taksin had the integrity and stamina to offer up a good debate, sadly I've not seen him since demonstrating that the Queen of England would have been open to charges of sports-washing on account of the tarnished reputation related to her nations operations and her own family sex scandals involving minors and Jeffrey Epstein.
I think that proposition has been shown to be true across a range of topics

That’s the ultimate comedy line. Striking while the iron is hot is exactly what F$G refused to do for an entire decade under Jurgen. Every single time Klopp pulled off a genuine miracle... won the Champions League... won the league... they tightened the purse strings... sat on their hands... and refused to back him from a position of absolute strength.

To suggest that after years of chronic underbacking... they suddenly turned into ambitious... strategic big spenders just because of a TV deal is total fantasy. They didn't strike while the iron was hot...they opened the checkbook because the fire had completely gone out and they were terrified of the dark.

If it was a calculated corporate strategy... you don't buy eight players in a frantic rush...completely blow up the squad's tactical balance...rack up 20 defeats...and drop 24 points off the pace under a manager who seems totally out of his depth. That’s not a strategic masterclass...that is the absolute definition of shitting the bed.

Nice try trying to find a logical excuse for them...but you’re still dancing around the wider truth to protect the boardroom.
    Hilarious.

The best era at LFC under FSG is Klopp 16/17 to 19/20. The lowest net spending era under FSG.

With your big g.nev football brain, you say this is the worst era of transfer spending...

The era where on Klopps arrival, LFC suddenly mirrored Dortmund. I call this the Klopp effect.

    You took offense at that

To suggest that a 9th place net spend was Klopp’s "philosophy" is close to being the most desperate bit of bollox I’ve seen on this forum yet. Klopp didn’t 'choose' to have his hands tied - he was a miracle worker who dragged a mid-table budget to the top of the mountain despite the lack of backing... not because of it.
Klopp comes to LFC, moans about the yookays obsession wigh transfers and spending, then transforms the club spending fuck all net per season, unlike any other era of LFC under fsg.
And you're blaming fsg for Klopp

Emery at Villa is noted on my list above. One of my 3 Klopp replacement candidates.
Emery, Alonso & Carlo my 3 back then.

Currently Villa are 16th in the PL for net spending since Emery arrived in 2022/2023.

A similar occurrence to Klopp 1st four years.
Finished 7th, 4th, 6th with CL football losing to PSG in the quarterfinals by 1 goal, 4th and won the EL again.

    Emery 22/22 to 25/26
    Net spend 94.77
    MV gained 145.5

    Another miracle man

What Klopp showed 16/17 to 19/20 is that many PL clubs are pissing away, 100s of millions, billions in the transfer market.

Thats not Klopp being hoodwinked by FSG, your theory

    I said what..?

Look at this pathetic, malfunctioning corporate spreadsheet... CCTV the Janitor is wiggling so hard in his rubbers that he’s accidentally exposed the entire scam of his Boston masters.

He drops a mountain of distorted, home-cooked 'net spend' tables to try and claim that the finest era under Jurgen Klopp happened because F$G didn't spend money... What a complete and utter corporate clown... To suggest that a 9th-place net spend was Klopp's 'philosophy' rather than a world-class manager having his hands completely tied behind his back by the Boston ledger is the most desperate bit of boardroom bollocks ever posted on this forum... Klopp was a miracle worker who dragged a mid-table budget to the top of the mountain despite the total lack of backing... not because of it...

Let’s look at the Physical Reality of how F$G chronically stiffed Jürgen Klopp...Every single time he pulled off a genuine miracle from a position of absolute strength - winning the Champions League in 2019, winning the Premier League in 2020 - what did Uncle John do...? He tightened the purse strings...sat on his hands...and completely refused to back a generational manager to build a dominant, long-term dynasty...They left the squad to rot and burn out, forcing Klopp to work double shifts to keep us competitive until he was completely exhausted and walked out the door early...Klopp didn’t 'choose' to have a low net spend...he was starved of resources by owners who treat this club as a self-sustaining cash cow...

And your attempt to rewrite the current reality under Slot is absolute comedy...You try to spin their spending as a 'calculated corporate strategy'...but if the hierarchy is so smart, why did they panic-buy eight players in a frantic rush, completely blow up the squad's tactical balance, rack up 20 defeats, and drop 24 points off the pace...? Strategic masterclass...? They didn't invest when Klopp begged them to from a position of strength... they only opened the check-book out of pure corporate panic when they realised the asset was depreciating.

You’re a wretched 'ANAL-ist' who looks at a club dropping 24 points off the pace and thinks it’s a victory as long as the net-spend column looks neat for John Henry's balance sheet...You stay completely silent when an Admin-Asset doxes a user and worse you bring a fourteen-year-old child into the gutter on this board... you stay silent or push gutter press lies on the £65.5 million liquidation of Luis Diaz... but you'll happily type out page-long essays defending Wall Street billionaires and private equity interests colonising our game. What a supporter.

You are an Imposter...a functional tool pretending to evaluate football while acting as a human shield for corporate asset-strippers.. The 553 ghosts see right through your rigged numbers... Go back to your vault and your mop, Janitor... because your data is as fake as Jockstrap's admin masks...

Lots of figures produced, and many direct quotes provided from you.

Klopp arrived at LFC, the instant mirroring of Dortmund by LFC was the Klopp effect.

Not your JWH hoowdinking Klopp theory.

As said before, you're the dumbest plank on the forum, and by some distance.

All data provided open source. Analysis, objective, logical, a level above yookay media.

You keep on crying about what you posted about your own son on here.
You never had a problem mentioning my family, and as said, I only point this out to show up your hypocrisy.
Big cry when what you said about your own son is cited, no cry when talking shit about my family.
So this big good guy steveo act ain't going to pass the sniff test.
In reality you've posted negatively about my family, and posted what you did about your own son.

The 16/17 to 19/20 period at LFC to date, is the most succesful era of LFC on the pitch and in the transfer market.

Klopp transformed LFC and did so with low net spending. Same as he did at Dortmund.

And similar has been done by Emery at Villa.

Villa 16th for next spend since Emery arrived.
2 top 4 finishes, lost to PSG by 1 goal over 2 legs last year and won a EL.

I've not analysed those eras, not sure the databases go back that far.
Though as I understand those super dominant decades,
LFC were not outspending their rivals significantly.
