Bring outran maybe isn't so much of an issue of you have cutting edge up front and can stop goals going in. Work smarter not harder as Frank Spencer once said.
The running stats are misunderstood by many.

Typically if you possess the ball more, you run less.

There are differences in running styles/data, that also separate clubs like LFC & Cituae who usually dominate possession.

Cituae tend to run more distance than LFC.

LFC does slightly more high intensity sprints per game.
Whereas cituae to a little more running just below the high intensity grade.

Essentially citaue players run a couple of hundred metres more than LFC players per game.
LFC players do about 1 extra high intensity sprint per game than Cituae players.

Essentially LFC are a more aggressive pressing side than Cituae, sprint more and do less distance.
Cituae less aggressive, cover more distance and do slightly less high end sprints per game.

    Really?
I think its already been a big lift for the players getting rid of slot and they will be excited for the new season.
I did think a CB,DM and 2 wide attackers would do but rumours that bradley is worse than first though and alisson pushing to leave could mean adding a keeper and rightback.

I meant in terms of system. I think (and hope) we'll see a big difference between how we've played this season and how we'll set up for next season.

Plater wise, we do need to do a fair amount of business. Minimum of 2 wide players, a replacement for Mac, and Konate and maybe a loan for a striker that can cover whilst Ekitike is recovering.

The Norn Ireland manager said last week that Bradley is making good progress.

If it is Iraola, then I am excited for what he will do with the fullbacks. Both fullbacks at Bournemouth are really agressive and get forward a lot. Hopefully we'll see more of what Kerkez was about in his season at B'mouth and I can see Frimpong being alowed to bomb forward a lot more like Jimenez.

The biggest difference will hopefully be in midfield. B'mouth often played 4231 or 442, with Kroupi sometimes operating as a 10 or as a tradiditonal centre forward. Difference bertween this line up and Slot's is that the midfielders we agressive but responsibly so. Scott and Adams did a decent job of protecting the centre halves.

I dont think the defensive line will be quite as high as Slot's, since Senesi and some of his partners aren't speed merchents.

My concern is Isak. I'm not sure how he'll cope with what will be demanded of him in terms of pressing. Evanilson, whilst nowhere near as good a forward as Isak, is an absolute wasp.

I guess we will see far more use of the youth - thank god.... much higher intensity in the press and lot's and lot's of rotation.

Far more risk for reward taken.

Isak is going to have to come out of his shell at a club that demands from strikers... not sure he has the personality - but last season wasn't the best to judge from. We live in hope.

    This doesn't sound too bad

Former Liverpool player expected to join Andoni Iraola’s coaching staff

With Liverpool set to build a new backroom staff around incoming head coach Andoni Iraola, the expectation is that a former player will join his coaching team.

Probably... Think he went ott on Thiago and partly to defend Hendo... but 19 was rightly disappointed with eventual output. It wasn't close to what we expected in truth... I was one of his his biggest fans... And I believe he would have been amazing had Klopp been backed sufficiently. We landed that level of player 2 or 3 years too late.. He was physically all but over the hill when we got him at almost 30 and never primed for the Premier league... Put another top class technician around him and we win that quad I am sure.

You'd have to expect Wirtz to come on leaps and bounds with that fella on the coaching staff.

I would absolutely love Milly to join our backroom staff. Fitter than any of the squad a real winner and a great character to have around the training ground and dressing room.

    Absolutely.

The old boot room maxim applies, “hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”
