Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Congratulations to Critch and Blackpool, let the Championship loaning of some of our most talented youth for further development by Critch commence

Could be absolutely priceless for us having 2 or 3 of our young lads playing Championship football with Critch next season

There has always been a podium in football whether it be the Wembley steps or a hastily built low stage for the winners of a competition at even very levels.
Being at a top level competition and losing at the final stretch is no humiliation.
Losing, depending on your age and ability should be a trigger for your response but you have done so much to get thus far . So many do not make it that far. Do not disgrace the moment that so many would treasure!
Do you want that behaviour to kick off in primary school?
I see obvious differences between taking it in turns to climb the Wembley steps and sharing an Olympic podium for a singsong. And between a team sport like football and an individual event.

Perhaps it depends on if you are "just happy to be here" or feel you didn't play to your best. If you feel you put in a great individual performance but your team mates let you down. If your star player goes off injured and your goalie is concussed. Or if you truly gave a great team performance and were simply beaten by the better side.

When the England rugby team lost the World Cup final some criticised them for happily wearing them and some criticised them for taking them off. It comes down to winning mentality. The losing side should stand and clap and honour the victors.

As for primary schools, shit they've got enough problems! but they are still amateurs.

Perhaps many primary school kids have footballers as role models?

This is probably in response to Man utd removing their medals. How many commented in 2018 when Liverpool players did the same, I suppose they were excused. You couldn't make it up.

Footballers win Trophies, when they do win trophies they are ecstatic.

Yep. Teams have literally been doing it for about 20 years.

For sure. There are two schools of thought on this and they will be exposed to both. And they will choose which one to adopt.

The only role models kids need are their parents, they are with them all the time. Kids change the name of their favourite player week by week, especially the youngsters.

Parents are not with them all the time and do not change player week by week.
