    I'd rather they don't water pitches if there's a hosepipe ban on as it sends a poor us-and-them message but I suspect you probably know the football clubs will always manage to get their precious pitches watered.

    Not good to see so many plastic water bottles thrown aside at the drinks intermission. Cricket does it better under arguably more harsh circumstances

    Can't say I follow Cricket - how's the water situation handled there?

    The simplest solution to lack of water is to reduce waste. With the way the climate is going governments around the world will soon have little choice when it comes to recycling wastewater. Israel for example reuses 87% of its waste water compared to 10% in the US
